After a rough stint in ProXC, we have caught up with Gordon Price to ask him about his 6 fight losing streak.
JW: Gordon, we have to ask, what's been up? You don't seem like the old you..Any insight?
GP: I haven't performed to my full ability..I haven't been finishing fights..I have been letting my friends, my family, my fans, and myself down tremendously. I sincerely apologize to everyone. I separated my shoulder in a fight a while back fighting Walter long. I continued to train and try to fight thru the pain, due to money issues and a contract that required limited rest. I plan on going back down to LOGO, and trying to regain my old form.
JW: That is very unfortunate news. You said something about money issues..If you feel comfortable talking about it, can we get a word?
GP: Ya.....Well, the gym I have been training at needed a lot of new equipment, so I shelled out a lot of cash to help that...I love my gym, and couldn't see myself training anywhere else. Those 6 fights have me sitting okay at this point..But I don't know if it was worth the money to take the punishment, and hurt my stature as a promising upcommer.
JW: Well I am sure that once you regain your health, and get back in the swing of training, arms will be barred, and necks will be choked. We look forward to seeing you back on top. We will stay with you on the journey to the gold, best of luck Gordon.
GP: Thank you.
