Never vented before, but my run of bad luck is finally starting to get to me and at last I appreciate why we have this thread.
My last 3 fighters to have excellent hiddens have all retired in 7 1/2 years or under.
First, there was
David "The Admiral" Robinson, who retired in 7 years exactly.
Then there was
Tom Hamilton, a 196 lb WW who never missed weight and with all 4 awards for both chin and heart. Hamilton did manage to win 2 EFC belts, despite his short life.
Just last night, and most crushingly,
Drake Brown retired. He had only been stopped twice in 62 fights and was on an 11 fight win streak with the #14 rank. I really think this guy could have won 20 titles if he'd lived to 10 years, but he retired at only 7 years 1 month.
The only guys on my team who live long now are cans who get KOed and subbed like it's going out of style.
Okay, vent over.
