Let the Games Begin!
Olympic Fights will take place on
Feb. 7, coinciding with the start of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Ideally,
all of the nations represented in MMArmy will be represented:
USA
Brazil
Canada
Japan
Russia
Mexico
United Kingdom
Australia
Germany
Phillipines
France
Fighters must be amateurs, so only
0-0 fighters will be allowed to compete.
Fights will take place in
GAMMA HW Division. The Tourney is Open Weight.
Fighters must be
recruit number higher than 1072000 - We will jump of recruiting fairly early, with likely over a week to "train for the Olympics"
One fighter per coach and one fighter per nation to start out with.
Fighter must be posted to reserve nation and spot in tourney. Coach may change fighter once their nation has locked, but nation changes should be kept to a minimum and are subject to tourney organizer's approval (more likely to approve a switch to a less common nation).
Should number of coaches signed up be less than 11, coaches may take on a second nation with a fighter from an alternate camp.
Should number of coaches signed up exceed 11 and fighters from all 11 in-game nations are represented, additional coaches may join with their fighter representing a nation not included in MMArmy.
Bracket structure will be determined by number of fighters competing, though we are likely looking at a short, single elimination tournament with possibly a few qualifying matches.
