I'll be kicking this thing off tomorrow morning in a brand new thread. I'll have things up and running after I wake up. This will be bright and early for me, but maybe closer to Noon for some of you East coasters, and god knows what time for the rest of you.

I'd like to suggest the MVP be only from the position players so a pitcher doesn't potentially win both awards.

Hey guys, I had to re-configure the schedule a bit because I totally fucked up the first one I made.

I tried to be lazy and just re-work the one Chief already had, but I forgot that FWAM put us at 7 alliances which messed everything up for me. The original schedule I posted ended up having random teams play each other twice. Luckily the first week didn't need to be changed so we didn't have to miss any time.

Here is our new schedule going forward...

It's come to my attention that a couple of the alliances were thinking of moving pitchers into the field or vice-versa. This is NOT something that you can do.

Nor can you move your position players around to different positions. (No moving your catcher to the outfield, or LF to 1b etc...etc...) Your utility bench players have some flexibility for those purposes, but aside from that, your defense is locked in.

I know there's precedent for that sort of thing in real life, but for this event it will not be allowed.

Based on cumo's comment I have been wondering but assumed that it was in the rules


When are you allowed to make a substitution?


I imagine for a pitcher it would be before the challenge was publicly announced by the next batter

I guess it would be the same for a fielder since this isn't hockey

Substitutions can be made at pretty much any time, whenever the ball is dead between at-bats.

Basically the one thing you cant do is make substitutions halfway through an at-bat during the fielding portion.. (EG. If you get a UD against the pitcher, you wouldn't be allowed to make a defensive switch in the middle of the at-bat)

Is this for the current game?

As in if we want to move hitters around to different positions between games are we allowed to do so?

I.e. - moving a DH to 1b for an entire game, or moving a lf to c for an entire game


Or are we locked in position wise for the duration?

It was my understanding we could change our roster for each game. Didn't know we couldnt move a pitcher that never played into the field the next game. Guess there's really not much we can do for strategy for the next game.
