Blue Devils went down to Georgia. They were lookin' for a bowl to steal.
They were in a bind 'cause they were way behind. They were willing to make a deal.
When they came across this young man tossin' a football and playin' it hot.
And the Devils jumped upon a Chick-fil-A cup and said "Boy, let me tell you what."

"I guess you didn't know it, but we're football players, too.
And if you'd care to take a dare we'll make a bet with you.
Now you throw a pretty good football, boy, but give the Devils their due.
I'll bet a football of gold in the bowl 'cause we think we're better than you."

The boy said, "My name's Johnny, and it might be a sin,
But I'll take your bet; and you're gonna regret 'cause I'm the best there's ever been."

Johnny, autograph this scroll and throw your football hard.
'Cause Hell's broke loose in Georgia and the Devils fight for yards.
And if you win you get this shiny football made of gold,
But if you lose Blue Devils win the bowl.

The Devils opened up their bags and said, "Let's start the show."
And fire flew from their Nike gloves as they prepared to go.
And they tossed the ball across the field and it made the Aggies hiss.
And the ACC joined in and it sounded something like this.
