Sam Danielsson spent more time slaying pussy than hitting the bags or practicing with Charlie but there was little I could do about it since he won his debut. He showed some real grit and determination there and I took notice that UNO FC Flyweight champion Hans Swanson defended his title twice in a row and it got me thinking ... If we win one more fight, then we should be primed to face off against Swanson and potentially take home the belt. There was a problem .. The only way to get truly noticed is for Sammy boy to bang with one of the veterans. In the end I decided to go with Guto Gonzalez as our opponent which may have been a mistake .. 21 fights thus far for him, and he has experience in fighting in MULTIPLE organizations-- Even ABC. I accepted the bout and got to work with Sam in training for this fight.

If we win this, we have a good shot at getting a bout with Hans Swanson.

UNO FC - FLY - Sam DANIELSSON vs. Guto GONZALEZ

Sammy still got distracted through out camp with all the beautiful ladies around, but we managed to improve his strength and balance just a nudge for this fight with Charlie in charge of most of the training here. We got to the cage, and told him to go fuck this Brazilian up.

They circled to start off, but Sam started it off by landing a solid punch to prompt Guto to enter a clinch. Uhhh ... Shit. Dude did some Judo flip and tossed Danielsson over! Man, let me tell you .. Sam might be fighting in Flyweight but at regular weight? He can easily make a Lightweight fight if he wanted to. This is not good ...

Gonzales was one slippery mother fucker and kept trying to submit Danielsson with his wide arsenal of lethal techniques. I was shaking my head, realizing I might have gotten far too ahead of myself. Sammy was just starting his MMA journey off and is not stuck in a cage with a 21 fight veteran. What have I done?

I let Charlie do all the talking after the round, my heart was sinking.

Round two begins and the fighters clinch immediately, and it had me sweating because Sam ended up flat on his back the last time they engaged in one. Danielsson flips around with his swift movement and takes Gonzalez back standing, but the Brazilian clearly knew what he was doing to try and execute a SPINNING KIMURA! Danielsson worked on submission defense and escapes a lot with Vinter so that was a damned relief.

The two fighters circle each other and i'm here about to go deaf with Charlie just fucking shouting at Sam. "FUCKING END THAT BASTARD'S LIFE! SEND HIM BACK TO THE SHITHOLE HE CAME FROM! VIKING PRIDE!"

That cocky bastard Sam looked back and winked at us before driving a hook into the temple of Gonzales, before a stray elbow is pushed in and viciously scrapes right above the Brazilian's eye and leaves a HUGE gash. Guto was a bloody mess, heck he looked disorientated as fuck. The ref called the doctor in and he deemed that Gonzales couldn't fight anymore.

First a ref stoppage and now a doctor stoppage for Danielsson, I couldn't believe it. His arm raised, and I was literally trembling. This kid might be something special ... He took the mic and immediately calls out Hans and I grinned. "Give me Hans Swanson! UNO FC, I PUT YOU ALL ON NOTICE."

I filed the paperwork the very next morning wondering if Swanson would actually accept. Though it was great that Sammy boy won, but he's going to just continue his celebration for like two weeks straight of just fucking, fucking and more fucking. Kids these days.

While we were still celebrating Sam's victory, I still had to prepare my childhood friend Charlie for his fight in the cage. We ended up being put against some Canadian dude with a 0-1 record. A good start for Charlie in the MMA world, but out of every fight? I was worried about this the most because I didn't want my friend getting hurt.

LEGENDARY FC - FW - Butch PIERO vs. Charlie VINTER

Camp went well for Charlie, and he still managed to train with Kevin, teach kids karate and put together Gabe's vegan diet! What a work horse.

I honestly wished to close my eyes at the start, but Charlie enthusiasm always drags me in. Butch was real shifty and nearly faked Charlie out, but our trusted trainer and fighter just blocked the follow up head kick with ease. They took their time finding range, and I was tensed. Any punch or kick could change this fight ... I was sweating.

Charlie evades a wild strike and counters with a cross-hook. This is where things started to look good, as Vinter landed good hard strikes while standing and actually outboxes Butch entirely. It didn't take long before a flurry of punches drops Piero to the ground, prompting Charlie to follow through and just crush him with repeated strikes. I had never seen anything like this! Only the first round and Charlie completely demolished him.

The Canadian was tapping before even the referee thought about declaring it a knock out. Insane!

Glad to see my childhood friend start his MMA journey on the right foot.

New Offers

Sammy boy looked pretty good in his two fights, well ... He got the finish right? That's all that matters for now I think. Hans Swanson might not accept our fight, in fact he may not fight at all. Truthfully I do believe that Canadian Alan Sharpe likely has a better chance at getting the title fight anyways.

I did think about having Sam rest up some more and either face Swanson later, or face off against the winner of Swanson and whoever he fights(Which is likely to be Sharpe) but ... I have one problem.

My friend from Absolute Beatdown Championship gave me a call and said the organization loves the way Danielsson finishes people off and would love to give him a shot but there's a single condition--- He has to fight soon and WIN to prove that he is worthy of fighting in ABC despite just starting. This guy from ABC might be my friend, but he knows full well that my gym is new as fuck and could be an issue if Danielsson gets starched there.

It's a risk but we got a fight offer from this young undefeated American kid named Zack Douglas who is a really good wrestler and managed a submission victory in his debut.

Time's winding down. What will we do?

He accepted. Hans Swanson decided to accept our fight. It has honestly been the BUSIEST camp I have ever been apart of. Well .. Kind of. Me and Charlie did spend a lot of time trying to hound Sammy down since he would go try finding some chicks instead of working on his strength.

You thought I was nervous before? Nope, this had to be the most nerve wracking experience ever. Danielsson is relatively new to this whole concept of MMA and is only 2-0 in his career so what can I expect against some up and comer Hans Swanson that was tearing fighters down.

If we win, I had already decided that Danielsson should relinquish the belt but I wasn't too sure. He kept bringing girls over to the hotel as we were just days away from the fight-- Will anything ever change???

UNO FC - FLY - Hans SWANSON (C) vs. Sam DANIELSSON

I was flustered, palms sweaty and the bout hadn't even begun. Sam Danielsson was roaming the octagon performing a light warm up as he tries to holler at some girls in the stands. Charlie told me not to worry, but I just couldn't help it!

Can a fighter like Sam, who spends most of his time under a woman's skirt rather than the gym, actually become a CHAMPION???

The fight commenced.

I expect this to be a five round battle if anything, or at least I hope it did if Sam had any shot of beating Hans because this American had never been stopped.

Danielsson didn't waste any time though and executes a great double leg take down to stand over Swanson AND--- Misses the big shot. He starts to keep the Champion occupied with small shots here and there, but nothing major thus far in the first round. Truth be told, I was surprised ... Pleasantly surprised.

He clearly did absorbs knowledge well and managed to get Hans in an Achilles lock and ALMOST seemed to have him, but was forced off. Despite Hans trying to get away, Danielsson just completely swarms him. Hard fist after fist, I could hear the thuds from here. Holy fuck .. The Champion was scared! I could see it right there, he was straight frightened by the brutal striking of Sam. The Champion couldn't defend! The ref stopped the fight! It's all over! The Champion had been stopped in round 1!

The entire camp ran into the octagon, with Kevin just tackling Sam to the ground. I was wiping the tears from my eyes, I couldn't believe it. Our gym got its' very first belt

And it had to be Sam Danielsson, didn't it? Such a pain ... He's going to be swimming in pussy for weeks. So much for training

Sam Danielsson wins by TKO (Ref Stoppage)

Got a call from the friend I mentioned from before, told me that the promoters at ABC loved the viciousness in how Sam performed and were willing to offer a contract.

Dragged Sammy boy there and signed a 3 fight deal, but in the back of my mind? I was still worried sick. Danielsson always proved my doubts wrong but ... ABC had some tough motherfuckers in their organization and some elite prospects. Danielsson better get into the best shape of his life if he wants to hang with these beasts.

Title Shot

My childhood friend and a vital part of my gym's engine received some great news. Legendary FC have a vacant title slot in the Featherweight division and offered Vinter a shot after seeing how well Danielsson had done while training with him. Charlie's second MMA fight ever and hes going for the title? Holy fuck. Still, all good things come with problems and that sort here at Gustaffson Wrestling.

All the potential opponents were experienced, save for a few that are similar to that of Charlie's abilities. I smile and accepted the offer, but deep down? I was already feeling regret.

While we remained in wait for who Charlie would be fighting, we ended up finalizing a fight for Gabe on short notice-- Well, it was only short notice because the fucking Vegan was off surfing for a month and only started his training when he returned from vacation. Charlie was training with Carl and Sam for his upcoming bout, me and Kevin went to travel with Gabe to Norway where the fight would be taking place.

It was some unknown Japanese kid, and we had -zero- tape on him.

JUNGLESCRAP - BW - Gabe ANDERSSON vs. Yasuhiro MORIGUCHI

The Jap was pretty well build, while Gabe still had his eternal beach bod look going.

Honestly? The vegan surfer started off well and scored a nice knockdown on the kid while maintaining striking pressure to begin round 1. Moriguchi pulled our vegan swede into guard, but luckily Gabe was a pretty ... Unique thinker and transitioned well into full mount before trying to get him with a submission-- All of which were fought off.

"Where's your conviction man?? Get his ass! You're better on the ground, so use it your advantage!" I just hope my advice works here, being a corner isn't easy!

Round two? It was a pure striking display with some boxing, and even I was impressed with how Gabe did--- Kind of. He got struck with a brutal combination early but rebounded by putting the Jap on the ground and still banging, but ... He was getting cocky and let Yasuhiro get up onto his feet to continue.

"What the fuck are you dong, Gabe?! Your specialty is the ground, all you had to do was follow through and choke him out."

Andersson better listen or things could get ugly you know?

Pure dominance. That is how I described round 3 of the bout, as Gabe ACTUALLY fucking listened to me and completely dismantled him on the ground after completing some nice take downs and maneuvers. The Jap kid did defend well, i'll give him that but .. He clearly wasn't going to win that fight, right? No way ... Andersson out performed him. Decisions always had me nervous ...

We spent one final night in Norway and went back home the next morning to help prepare Charlie for the championship bout. This will be the toughest challenge yet for us!

Carl Wang has one fight left on his contract with UNO FC, and I doubt ABC takes the big fella' now so i've been going through some options. UNO did treat Sammy boy quite well so we may continue fighting with them for the time being. Charlie is still training for the upcoming title fight and main event at LFC so we left him be for the time being.

I trust Charlie the most you know, but this left me to train with Wang which is not a bad thing. Carl is the only heavyweight here but I am the closest to his size so we are more compatible when it comes to sparring. He's huge and has great balance, so I worked on perfecting some double leg take down attempts.

His opponent is a 19 year old american kid that is said to be a submission artist, but is 0-2 in UNO FC thus far. This may actually be a great test for our friendly giant.

UNO FC - HW - Axl LANGE vs. Carl WANG

This kid was fucking playing mind games with Carl, legit I was fighting off the urge to get up there and beat the fuck out of him but I knew I had to put faith in Carl to handle this.

I was furious when Axl caught Carl with an eyepoke, I knew it had to be intentional but the fight continued. Charlie was back at the gym training, so I only had Kevin for support and vibrant cheers. Carl's striking ... Was not up to par, and he actually got put down to the mat with a well timed punch by Axl. I grit my teeth, hoping this wouldn't be it.

Carl put his training to good use and fended off the submission attempts in the first round, before finally escaping. Axl started firing off punch after punch, and Carl seemed too slow to react but ... He was laughing. Our gentle giant was standing there LAUGHING at Axl's punches.

My god, what the fuck was going on?

My advice after that round ended was to get the fight to the ground and use his strength to maul Axl. Will it work? We'll see.

I wanted to rip Axl's head off for the stunts he was pulling, even eye poking Carl a -second- time in the fight. This had to be intentional, come on ref! They were on the ground for the majority of the fight after Carl had dragged him down, but this was rough ... Axl was clearly the more active fighter here.

"Carl. Finish him. Submit him. It's your only way. You're way stronger so just force yourself on him."

3rd round was a snoozefest really, the two fighters kind of just hugged eachother to see who would get better control, but Carl truly did nothing of note to win this fight. Passive as he was in his first bout really and this is the Carl I hate seeing.

I think Carl should have won due to all the illegal eye pokes but it was not meant to be.

Sponsorship

With Danielsson on the rise with his undefeated record so far, I have gotten a few calls in regards to sponsorship. It's difficult running a gym on my own expenses, and a few of these guys like Carl and Charlie have full time jobs to support their families with MMA being something to do on the side.

Thus, we will be repping the 'SVERIGE!" clothing brand, with their exclusive blue and yellow colorway. We will also be opening our own line under the 'SVERIGE!" company known as 'Gustaffson' with my exclusive signature visible on the shorts.

Buy the merch and support the cause! Sverige!

We have -two- TITLE fights lined up, both of them for vacancies in their division. Charlie was hard at work, whereas Gave kept complaining that our chefs weren't doing a good enough job at providing him vegan variety. These two couldn't be more different, but they will be getting title shots and potentially bring the gym two MORE belts!

LFC - FW - Championship Bout - Charlie VINTER vs. Reggie TAYLOR

We trained long and hard for this fight and ended up against a really good Canadian with great experience. I definitely believe that Charlie can knock that fucker out, given all the hours he has spent working in the gym to perfect his craft.

Thing is, the fight definitely didn't go the way I had expected. Charlie got tripped up and fell off a sweet ankle pick by Taylor. This Reggie guy was pushing the pace hardcore, round one and Charlie hasn't been able to do anything. He barely escaped the brutal elbows, but ended up losing his positioning. Taylor rains several strikes down on Vinter's head and the ref immediately stepped in.

My heart sank.

Charlie, my childhood friend and fellow trainer, got dropped in the first round with ease despite putting in so much work. I felt for him.

JSCRAP - BW - Championship Bout - Uri NOVIKOV vs. Gabe ANDERSSON

Charlie took his loss like a true veteran and said it happens and it's true. Everyone gets stopped at some point in their MMA career. It's apart of the sport.

Gabe on the other hand was hitting up the beach still and enjoying his life, when he should be in the gym training furiously. His cardio isn't great and his slacking off isn't exactly helping. This guy puts in minimal effort, but I still hope he can pull through. I've grown attached to all my fighters and only wish for them to succeed--- This Russian would be the biggest challenge yet for Gabe.

Round one? Gabe didn't stand much of a chance and was taken off guard immediately, flipped over and tossed due to Uri's superior judo capabilities. However, Gabe did get the Russian's back before the bell so there was some progression.

"Fuck you doing Gabe? Get him to the ground crank that neck back. He can't handle you there."

Know what? Andersson didn't listen AT ALL. Kid got goaded into a striking duel with Novikov and got absolutely dismantled! Dropped to the mat repeatedly and instead of trying to drag Uri with him ... He gets back up and chases after the Russian for more?

Sigh ...

Gabe didn't stand a chance the way he was fighting, and the vegan was now drained due to his god awful cardio. It went the distance and was an easy call for the judges to make. God fucking damn it Gabe!

Not sure if we have what it takes here. Hopefully Kevin is ready to fight within the year because we need something!
