CG - LW - Kevin LJUNG vs. Paul HARRIS

An Australian with a 1-2 record out of Pacifica Sportfighting would be Kevin's third opponent. This match would essentially decide his fate at this point. Should I pull him aside and tell him that MMA might not be the career for him? Despite starting at a young age, Kevin did study kinesiology and has the credentials to be a proper personal trainer-- Just look at his body, Kevin is SHREDDED.

Round 1
Click to reveal..
Paul is caught square on the jaw putting him to the canvas, Kevin Ljung prepares to pounce, but Paul gets his bearings just in time. Kevin attempts to drop a fist on Paul, but misses and lands in his guard. Paul Harris attempts an armbar. Kevin Ljung time a spin perfectly landing a strong overhand as he works his way into Harriss guard. Kevin takes advantage of a mental laps from Paul and moves into full mount. Kevin Ljung punishes Harris with a series of strikes from the mount. Harris gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Harris eats a few stiff shots from Kevin Ljung, and rolls giving mount to stop the ref from ending the fight. Kevin secures his position. Round 1 is finished.

"Great fucking timing Kevin, he didn't see it coming. Just be patient and DO NOT get caught. Be very careful out there and methodical." I took the same approach as I take with Carl here since I need him to play safe and for the judges. Kevin doesn't have Carl's chin but he is quite skilled.

Round 2

Kevin connects with a jab cross combination. Paul connects with a jab cross combination. Kevin executes a single leg giving him the back of Harris. Harris rolls back into being mounted. Kevin Ljung punishes Paul with a series of strikes from the mount. Ljung swings his leg over locking in a textbook armbar. Paul Harris taps out.

Kevin Ljung wins by Submission (Armbar)

Kevin extends his MMA career with this victory, and I am very PROUD that he was able to pull out the win. Kevin has to be feeling good about himself now, and hopefully those knock outs he suffered early came down to bad luck. I'm PRAYING! Anyways, signed a three fight extension with Cage Fighters and hope to do some good things.

JSCRAP - BW - Vacancy - Gabe ANDERSSON vs. Steve SIMMONS

Gabe gets yet another JungleScrap title fight and let me tell you ... It's his 8th title shot and he has yet to win one yet. Gabe just hasn't had the gas tank to last him a bit. I am a bit happy it's against Simmons, who we fought a bit back and Gabe actually submitted him. This could be a bit different given it's 5 rounds, so here we go. Me and Charlie fucking MADE SURE this Vegan clown didn't hit up the beach and forced this dumbass to train. Will it be enough? I hope so man.

Round 1
Click to reveal..
"Vegan Surfer" throws a few jabs at Simmons that miss the mark. Andersson throws a few jabs at Steve that miss the mark. Gabe Andersson ducks under a loopy hoop, taking "Pisao Mojado" to the mat, and his back. Giving up his back, Steve Simmons panics and gives up mount instead. "Vegan Surfer" punishes Steve Simmons with a series of strikes from the mount. "Pisao Mojado" bucks off Gabe Andersson and gives up his back but Gabe Andersson is too quick and locks in a tight choke.

Gabe "Vegan Surfer" Andersson wins by Submission (Rear Naked Choke)

I ... I can't believe it. Gabe put in the hard work and finally got rewarded. Andersson was in tears when he took a hold of the belt ... Could it be that he actually truly cares about mixed martial arts and isn't just some surfing beach bum? God damn it Gabe, you're going to make me cry too.

Got a call from ABC that they are interested in Gabe should he win his next title defense. It would be massive for Gabe if he held onto the title once, and it's about time he graduates from the Jscrap organization. It took him nearly 25 fights but this experience can only help him. If he loses? Probably back to Jscrap so he can develop his fundamentals.

PREL - HW - John WARNER vs. Carl WANG

Warner is pretty much a contender in the Preliator HW division so Carl getting a fight here is important, as a victory would catapault him forward. Warner is an experienced wrestler and has only lost ONCE. EVER! It was also a controversial split decision, so technically no one has beaten him convincingly. Wang has a steel chin and has never been finished, or knocked out so i'm not too worried. We need to go the distance in a convincing manner.

Round 1
Click to reveal..
A trip to the ground allows John Warner to move into the guard of "Gentle Giant". "Gentle Giant" connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. John takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Carl Wang's guard. It doesn't pay off as Carl makes his way to standing. Warner hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. "Gentle Giant" takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. John Warner locks around the waist of Carl. He sneaks his foot behind Carl;s and trips him to the floor, taking side control. Warner drops some hammer fists on Carl. Carl Wang gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Round 1 comes to a close.

"You need to be careful out there Carl, buddy ... He goes in and trips you down, I just want you to take the fight to him and shoot for the takedowns. You're way stronger so there's no way he can resist." Or at least I think Carl is stronger ...

Round 2
Click to reveal..
John fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing "Gentle Giant" to the cage. "Gentle Giant" swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. John Warner drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. John Warner takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Wang's guard. It doesn't pay off as "Gentle Giant" makes his way to standing. Carl hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. John Warner connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Carl Wang. Warner shoots in and executes a textbook single leg takedown, giving him side control. John throws his knee into the ribs of Carl. John Warner throws his knee into the ribs of Carl Wang. Round 2 is finished.

"Not friggin' good enough Carl, you're way too passive. He's up 2 rounds on you so you have to finish him on the ground. Get there and submit this guy. Go on!"

Round 3
Click to reveal..
Carl is caught with a double leg takedown, forcing him to give side control. John Warner slides his knee across the body of "Gentle Giant" and takes full mount. John secures his position. Carl Wang gives his back up trying to escape the mount. John tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. John Warner lands a series of heavy punches forcing Wang to roll to his back, giving John Warner mount. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

John Warner wins by Unanimous Decision

John Warner is the real deal, much more dominating than I had expected. Infact i'm pretty certain he is an EFC destined fighter that can contend for the belt given his immense power. I was a bit worried watching his previous fights, but my suspicions were confirmed. He's stronger than Carl and showed impeccable balance and a tenacious pace. Wang needs to continue to improve. He's back out of title contention and fight other fighters to prepare.

JSCRAP - BW - Gabe ANDERSSON (C) vs. Vinnie MCLEAN

We couldn't get another fight arrangement with a top contender, and Cherry was actually not in fighting shape since he just finished a bout recently. This will be Gabe's first ever title defense, but we all know it will be his last time with the belt regardless. If he wins, Gabe goes up to ABC but if he gets dropped? Back to Jungle Scrap as a regular fighter. Fighting is essentially a hobby of sorts for Gabe at this moment, but he has been looking quite sharp ... Infact, he also is designing surf boards for a company that will sponsor him. Looking good. I know Vinnie is a wrestler and he stopped Thompson in his last fight so we decided to give him the shot after others didn't accept in time.

Round 1

Click to reveal..
Andersson connects with a hard punch making Vinnie bring him in to a tight clinch. Vinnie receives a couple of stiff short hooks in the clinch. "Vegan Surfer" attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Vinnie pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. McLean connects with a hard jab as Gabe Andersson attempts a wide outside hook. Vinnie McLean circles Andersson, mixing jabs with body shots. Vinnie McLean is staggered by a jab to the chin. Andersson takes Vinnie McLean down to the mat with a good double leg takedown, leading to him standing over Vinnie McLean. Gabe Andersson hovers over McLean pushing his legs to the side and throwing punches down at his body and head. Gabe Andersson throws the leg aside and takes side control. Round 1 is finished.

"Fantastic stuff there Gabe, four more rounds of this and you'll still be Champ." Not much for me to say as Gabe did a solid job standing and on the ground.

Round 2
Click to reveal..
Andersson catches a leg kick and fires a hard punch to the head dropping Vinnie. Gabe drops a huge strike to Vinnies chin, landing into his guard. Vinnie begins to posture on his side. Gabe Andersson lands a couple of outside hooks and Vinnie returns to the guard. Vinnie McLean attempts to create some space from his guard, but Andersson sees the opening and passes to full mount. Gabe maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. McLean gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Gabe begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Vinnie rolls to being mounted instead. Gabe Andersson postures up and begins to fire off rapid shots from mount but Vinnie McLean tripods up and sweeps him over to his back. Vinnie McLean quickly gets himself to mount. Round 2 comes to a close.

"He's not on the same level as you Gabe, just stick to the gameplan and keep the pressure up. You can rest up in the 4th a little if you can win this next one." Vinnie is a promising kid, but perhaps a mistake for him to challenge the Champion so early in his career.

Round 3
Click to reveal..
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Andersson gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Gabe Andersson dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with McLean standing over him. Vinnie McLean attempts to drop a fist on Gabe, but misses and lands in his guard. Vinnie McLean tries to pass guard but Gabe stops him with a well timed punch. "Vegan Surfer" dodges some ground strikes from Vinnie, and sends a few back of his own. Andersson keeps his head down in the chest of Vinnie McLean to avoid any submission attempts. Andersson leans up and lands some short punches before lowering back down. McLean loses his position, allowing Andersson to slip behind and lock in a rear naked choke. McLean quickly taps out.

Gabe "Vegan Surfer" Andersson wins by Submission (Rear Naked Choke)

Andersson has shown a lot of growth, especially in his last two fights. We sat down and signed with the Absolute Beatdown Championship which would be a FIRST for Gabe. 24 fights, all apart of Jungle Scrap. They have treated Gabe well and clearly had the most talent produced from that BW division. Becker has the title in ABC, seems like a decent challenge but Gabe needs to feel out his ability at this level first.

CG - LW - Adrian STEELE vs. Kevin LJUNG

Steele is another Canadian Wrestler from a great camp, but has a 0-1 record so we believe Kevin can put up a solid fight here. Kevin launched a promotion of his new diet plan and a fitness book he just compiled that he spent a good 4 years on. Kevin is likely looking to pick up steam here and we have been training his fortitude quite a bit. Should be a nice fight.

Round 1
Click to reveal..
Kevin connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Kevin takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Ljung connects with a jab cross combination. Adrian Steele connects with a hard punch making Ljung bring him in to a tight clinch. Adrian is jockeying for position in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Kevin swims to double underhooks and turns Adrian Steele but Adrian Steele gets double underhooks of his own and rotates Kevin right back into the cage. Kevin Ljung lands multiple piston shots and short uppercuts to soften up Adrian for a trip takedown. Adrian is able to pull a switch mid-trip and lands in Kevins half guard. Round 1 is finished.

"Solid round Kevin, some nice combinations. Remember, I don't want you standing too much man. Just shoot in and drag him down, i'm aware of his skill but I believe in you."

Round 2
Click to reveal..
A welt begins to form under Ljungs eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Adrian. Kevin Ljung attempts a striking combination, but Adrian forces the clinch. Kevin places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Adrian begins to thrust his shoulder in the face of Ljung. Ljung absorbs several body shots while being tied up. Steele pushes Kevin Ljung into the cage. Kevin Ljung works a whizzer and attempts to turn Steele but Steele illegally grabs the cage for leverage. The referee is not in postition to see it. Round 2 comes to a close.

"You need to turn on the jets here Kevin, that bastard is clearly afraid of your takedowns so go in there and take this final round. Finish him if you can."

Round 3
Click to reveal..
Adrian Steele connects with a hard punch making Ljung bring him in to a tight clinch. Two short elbows from the clinch put Kevin off balance. Adrian holds him up, landing two more quick elbows. Kevin Ljung escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Adrian slips a cross from Kevin Ljung and lands an uppercut to the liver. Ljung throws a crisp jab, but Steele slips it and moves in for the clinch. Kevin Ljung works to Adrian Steeles back while standing. Kevin Ljung throws a couple of outside shots until Adrian is able to work his way back to the clinch. Steele works Ljung into the cage from the clinch. Steele presses his head under Ljungs chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Steele uses his under and overhook to hit a solid body toss takedown, landing in full guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Adrian Steele wins by Unanimous Decision

Kevin didn't do anything that third round and was constantly on the defensive so I can't be too upset with the result. A few issues to work on but we can get through it. His 1-3 record doesn't look great but he's still training his ass off.

In other good news, Sam Danielsson has recovered from his injury and has signed another contract with Preliator. We're anticipating an explosive return.

Nice Writeup on Warner vs Wang. Warner is my guy, have high hopes for him, gunning for that Preliator belt now.

Big fan of Carl. Warner had a couple years experience on Carl, the Gentle Giant should just keep getting better!

Contemplation

Kevin's career has not been great, starting off as a 1-3 fighter is NEVER a great sign. Some of these guys honestly consider retirement after a start like that, some guys are literally KICKED out of their gyms for starting off so poorly. Relegated as a trainer perhaps but their future as a fighter? Gone. Kevin is a smart kid, educated and with a degree. He doesn't need to fight, but he does to get his name out there. 2 fights left on his contract and i'm hoping he can save career and find some closure.

He's going to fight against another new fighter, who is 1-0, and looks to be a very accurate striker. We'll see how it goes.

Shit. Kevin got ABSOLUTELY blitzed in the second round and crushed. He just couldn't keep up, and got outclassed standing. It'd tough to fathom but with his record at 1-4? Not a good look. One fight left on the contract and I got a call. Booked a rematch, why? Because I friggin' hate Finns.

CG - LW - Kevin LJUNG vs. Khush LAHTI (2)

Kevin gets a chance to prove himself with the final fight in his contract. What will he do?

Round 1
Click to reveal..
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Kevin ducks under to the back of Khush and hops up getting both hooks in. Kevin applies a deep choke. Khush fights off the hands and spins around back into the clinch. Khush Lahti attempts a take down from the clinch, but Ljung pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Khush Lahti is staggered by a jab to the chin. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Kevin Ljung dives in for a take down but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Ljung catches a leg kick and fires a hard punch to the head dropping Lahti. Ljung stands over Lahti, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Lahti cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

"Kevin, you're looking good but take him to the ground. Don't play his game you know? You're murdering him." Kevin looked ... Amazing standing up but this just reminds me of the last fight. Lahti will come out swinging in the second probably, and I don't want to give Kevin false hope in the stand up.

Round 2

Khush gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Kevin peppers Khush with several shots to the face. "You've won both rounds. Survive the third, come on Kevin. It's your last fight. Keep it together!"

ABC - BW - Gabe ANDERSSON vs. Caco LINEKAR

Gabe defended his title and signed with ABC, so this will be his DEBUT fight in this organization. A Jiu Jitsu fighter from Brazil, Caco is quite talented but I feel Gabe will win this. No one has truly bested him on the ground all too much, and he has just defended his JScrap title. He has become a different beast all together.

Round 1
Click to reveal..

The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

"You need to be active on the ground, Gabe. I know you want the perfect choke but you're both really good. If you can keep this on the feet? I won't mind."

Linekar spins out into dominant half guard. Round 2 is over.

"Great work, you evened that round out. Work patiently and get that choke. Get that W Gabe!" I find this battle on the ground incredibly engaging and I was pretty nervous through out all of it.

Round 3

Our surfer got choked out by the Brazilian in his ABC debut but i'm not too upset. Gabe did his best and came up short, happens. I thought his Champion's momentum would make a difference but it wasn't enough. Gabe's clearly better than Charlie and Kevin, but lacks the star power of Sammy Boy and the dedication of Carl.

ABC - BW - Glen ALLEN vs. Gabe ANDERSSON

Another JJ specialist, but this time an American with a 6-2 record. Thing is? He has knock out power and has really yet to submit anyone, but was SUBMITTED by LFC mainstay Gascon Langlais via key lock. If Gabe can submit him, it could be a nice fight but we have to be careful of his knock out potential.

PREL - FLY - Sam DANIELSSON vs. Seth FOWLER

Danielsson is riding a 2 fight winning streak after his b-2-b losses to Kalib Peterson who is a killer in his own right. Fowler is pretty good and brings a little bit of everything so it should be a great test for Sammy boy. A 3 fight win streak would definitely look good since Seth is quite talented and has potential, but he just needs to get some solid fights under his belt.

Round 1

As Fowler tries to scramble up Sam Danielsson lands a lunging hook, putting Fowler on the ground stunned. Sam Danielsson takes Fowlers guard. Round 1 is over.

"Close round there, but I think you might be able to tag him with your left. We had him stunned, but be careful. We're back to fighting elite talent so be ready for anything."

Sammy boy looked fucking good in that bout. The fact that Danielsson can KO people and put them to sleep? He has a lot of potential. Anyways, I got another call ... We got a title shot offer against Hans Swanson, who Danielsson once beat for the UNO Championship so it should be a great main event.
