JSCRAP - BW - Gabe ANDERSSON vs. Chuy CABALLERO

Andersson needed to get back on track so I accepted a fight offer from a relatively unknown MMA wrestler that would make his pro debut. If Gabe can't submit him, then there may be issues that we as a gym need to fix with him. He's lazy and doesn't care too much about his training, just does enough to maintain a beach body.

Also have Sammy boy fighting against a top contender in Bermudez. Winner likely goes for the title. Some mix between Arnold, Herring and Graves is likely.

Andersson started off the fight well, sneaking into a lunch to unleash some vicious knees to the mid section. Gabe avoids an uppercut but slips to the ground. Fuck! Chuy ends up on top, just where he wants the fight to be before .. He misses a wind up punch, and ends up in guard. He tries to pass, but our resident vegan stops him with a jab. --What in the fuck.

Gabe legit slapping Chuy! I never taught him to do that, I swear. They end up trading some solid blows, but I feel Gabe got the worse end of that physically .. Chuy had to be hurting mentally from those slaps.

"I ... I have no words Gabe, man. Just over power him and keep him occupied-- Don't let him get mount at all."

The mexican strikes true to the body but misses the power punch that he set up. Gabe isn't that great of a striker ,in all honestly and despite my numerous complaints about his diet and lifestyle, he is a natural on the ground and it is some work of art to see him work the guard the way he does. Gabe gets in a few punches along the way, and they maneuver well. He tried to get a leg free to pass Chuy, but the mexican has it locked well! Gabe expertly presses his foot against the thigh of Chuy to get his foot free--Masterful.

"Great work, but I think it's time you go for the submission. Hit him good, and hit him hard when you can. Don't panic."

Simple instructions, but Andersson has a way of screwing them up some how. They end up clinching after Andersson takes a few strikes, but Gabe has the initiative and unleashes some piston shots. Chuy loses his balance and they go to the ground with Gabe in mount, only for the Vegan to take an elbow right to the head for his troubles. This Mexican is doing a great job of avoiding Gabe's submission attempts, i'm quite impressed. In fact ... He distracts Gabe with a few shots, before slapping a Kimura onto him! I can see Gabe struggling to escape and getting ready to tap and ... The Bell Rings! I've never been more relieved in my life.

Gave has a LOT of work to do, but too bad I already know he'll skip training for the beach any day.

If Sammy boy gets through this? He'll have a crack at getting revenge on Arnold and taking the belt back to our gym, but .. Bermudez is one TOUGH hijo de puta. He could easily have a title shot right now, but wanted to test himself against Danielsson who was once a champion in this organization.

Danielsson needs this win and he'll be on the right track. He hasn't shown the same dedication as when he submitted Graves, but he's doing well for himself--Despite always banging women.

ABC - FLY - Sam DANIELSSON vs. Marc BERMUDEZ

I hate this. I can tell IMMEDIATELY from the start with the way this spaniard moves and sways that he was just like Song in style. If Danielsson wants revenge on Dong Wan Song, then he needs to show his progress against Bermudez.

He does some spinning back flips before smoothly transitioning into a cartwheel and ... Danielsson barely blocks it, despite the unpredictable nature of the attack. They circle each other and start feeling each other out for a proper range and .. Danielsson lands an uppercut, and chains it into a hard hook! Wait .. Bermudez quickly ducks under and takes Sam to the mat, alongside his back! The round ends before anything major could come of it. Phew.

"Sammy boy, you need to be aware of his movements and take him down. Beat the crap out of him and don't let him turn around. That fancy back flip bull shit giving me a head ache here. Put him out."

This Bermudez fellow is a COMPLETE show off. Doing some flips and performing some dances for the crowd. "Sammy boy, fuck you watching for? Get him!" Marc spins and lands a kick flush to the ribs of Danielsson, prompting him to wince. Bermudez slips under a strike from Sam and takes him to the mat in the SAME position as the first round.

"This isn't good, Danielsson. We only have one more round and this has been absolutely rough. You need to finish him, and I believe in you. You'll be back with a title shot and women if you get through this fucking spaniard bastard. Look at the smug grin on his face, beat that fucker."

Marc thros a had jab, but Danielsson counters with a cross that ... ROCKS BERMUDEZ! he fighters work the clinch carefully, not letting up before Sam finally isolates an arm for a spinning kimura but is forced off with a shovel punch. Owch. Marc goes for a power shot, the haymaker but .. Misses entirely and ends up spinning around, Sam quickly taking advantage of that and goes for the back-- Round over. Fuck.

Marc Bermudez wins by Unanimous Decision

Danielsson has had a lot of trouble with these kind of fighters, and it took him a good 2 rounds before he figured out how Marc fights. Back to the drawing board .. Danielsson has a lot of work to get through.

'Least we still have Carl as Champ.

Goals

I had to get Charlie to drag everyone into the gym today, since we would be going over a serious topic. I wanted to know where their heads were at and what kind of fighter they aim to be. That sort of thing. Had them all lined up in chairs and sat across from them, staring.

"We've gone through some ups and downs, but we've done it all together. Our camp will be taking its' next big steps soon and I want to know of your ambitions. Goals."

Danielsson: I want to fight in the EFC and get all the girls.

Expected. Well, the EFC part was somewhat surprising but the girls? Nope. Typical Sammy boy.

Andersson: I want to promote my vegan beliefs and surf the best waves.

They turned him into a missionary now? What the fuck. Th-This is just a phase, right?

Vinter: I know my faults, and my body been letting me down but it won't stop me from going out there and competing. That's all I want, to have good fights. Whether i'm a middle of the pack fighter or whatnot. Viking Pride!

My childhood friend is probably one of the brightest minds here , and it shows from his self-analysis. He knows his weakness to finishes but could turn his career around at any moment.

Ljung: I'unno man. I just want to learn more and more from the guys here and employ my methods in a cage soon.

Kevin hadn't had a fight yet, but has been supportive and a great student. I can't wait for his debut, he might be something special.

Wang: Uhh. U-Uhhh. I just want to be, uhhh, a good Champion for my family.

You can always count on the Gentle Giant to think about thise closest to him.

Things will be a bit different here at Gustafsson's but we'll be going through the motions and try to get these guys on track with their goals in mind.

JSCRAP - FR - Gary RYAN vs. Charlie VINTER

Charlie will be having his first fight in Jungle Scrap, given how negotiations soured with the LFC over his worth. JScrap put a little more money on the table, and that would be enough to help Charlie through.

A new organization. Fresh start.

Charlie starts things off with a punch to Gary's jaw, but this Canadian kid just taunts him some more. Ryan manages a combination, before Charlie trips over his own foot trying to deliver a counter. The fight goes to the ground. Vinter does a good job trying to wiggle out, and Gary decides it's not worth the trouble and they end up standing. A nice leg kick connects for Charlie, followed up by a hook. The two stand and bang for a good thirty seconds before the round comes to a close.

"Buddy, good work there. Make sure you maintain posture and form though. You know what you have to do, Sverige!"

The two end up locked against a cage, before Ryan trips him to the ground--It appears this is where Gary wants the fight to take place. Vinter takes a lot of punishment, vicious ground and pound ... I'm hoping his chin lasts. However, Vinter doesn't panic and calmly protects himself from the strikes before slipping out.

"The round is like 1-1 right now, go do your thing buddy. I showed you a few wrestling moves, and I think with your power you might be able to force him down and take control. His striking doesn't seem better than yours, so that's the other option."

Gary strikes Charlie with some good body shots, causing Charlie to link up a combination and narrowly avoiding the counter. This Canadian is definitely a poor striker, missing a haymaker entirely and ended up with Charlie just taking his back with ease. Vinter follows up with some powerful punches, forcing Gary to give him mount. Charlie stays true and starts laying in some good shots! Vinter swings his leg over, trying to sink in a textbook armbar as I had taught him, but the time was running out ...

Just beautiful work by Charlie, I hope he can continue this progression and start challenging elite fighters. This new fresh start might be just what he needed.

Opportunity

After all the hard work Charlie has put in, he finally gets a chance at winning a title. While Carl was hard at work for his first title defense, Kevin and I assisted Charlie with his upcoming bout with undefeated American Bradley Hampton, known for his fierce striking and all out berserk style. Chalie can be finished, but he also has the ability to finish.

This fight won't go to the full 5 rounds, I can guarantee it.

JSCRAP - FW - Charlie VINTER vs. Bradley HAMPTON (C)

Charlie's opening leg kick is immediately caught, before being put to the mat. Hampton gets some good strikes in before suddenly getting full mount, I have no idea where Vinter's mind was but it was clear that he is in a panic. Charlie tries to struggle out but eats a few shots for his struggles but is in a position in which he can defend well from submissions. They end up on their feet!

Vinter takes punishment after punishment, even in the clinch he takes a few too many. Bradley tries to drive Charlie's face into a devastating knee, but luckily it's blocked! Phew! However, Hampton punishes Vinter with a hook and then side steps his next strike ... An outside hook out of nowhere, that even I had difficulty spotting lands CLEAN to drop Charlie instantly. Hampton towers over the fallen Vinter and starts unleashing harsh stomps before the ref stops the fight.

Just as I had expected.

ABC - FLY - James GREENO vs. Sam DANIELSSON

Sammy boy has to improve quite a bit if he wants to hang around the likes of Song, Arnold, Bermudez, Herring and Graves. Top tier ABC Flyweight contenders, and some have even moved on to fight in Preliator. While Wang still trains for his first title defense against Campuzano, we got Danielsson a fight against Canadian MT fighter James Greeno with only a 7-7 record but experienced nonetheless.

Round 1 commences with Sammy boy connecting with a cross combination, evading the counter but falls catching him in his guard. Danielsson can strike standing if need be, but he has some great grappling that can be used to assist him in submissions-- One of the best in Sweden. Sam connects with a few unorthodox punches to soften James up before switching him into mount! Though Sam can't maintain his position properly to land strikes with the way Greeno was wiggling around. Being the experienced MMA fighter he is, Danielsson grabs an arm and swing over. Cranking Greeno's arm for ..

Sam Danielsson wins by Submission (Armbar)

Easy work, but it shows that Danielsson can still hang on as a great fighter while finishing his opponents. Though the most interesting part ...

I get a call from the CEO of Preliator, considered the 2nd best organization in the world to most and they were impressed with how well Danielsson performed in the cage. Song had recently defended his belt to remain Preliator Flyweight Champion, but Danielsson might be able to get a crack at him but ...

Will Dong Wan Song sign with the EFC before Sam can even challenge him? It's possible at the rate that monster was going.

It had a lot to do with money, sponsorship and Sam believing he'll get more chicks being in Preliator but we inked the deal as soon as we could. Danielsson will debut our new Gustafsson brand singlet.

JSCRAP - BW - Logan BLAIR vs. Gabe Andersson

Logan Blair will be making his MMA debut so I have no idea what to expect here, but the gameplan will remain relatively the same. Gabe has to go to the ground and submit his opponent. Well, that IS the gameplan but Gabe has a habit of not listening.

Blair stuff the initial take down attempt, but Gabe overpowers him anyways and takes him to the ground. Though Logan keeps Gabe close to avoid head shots, Andersson sneaks in some vicious shots to the ribs before taking side control to unleash some knees.

"He doesn't know what to do on the ground, don't stand up and bang. Get him down. Finish him." Simple orders.

Gabe parries the attack by Blair, countering with a cross. They end up in the clinch and Gabe takes the worst of it. Taking several strikes, before finally landing an uppercut. He pushes the action but is warded away with well-timed jabs by Logan. Infact, the newbie turns and starts to beat on Gabe with solid punching combinations-- This fighter was great standing. Gabe even tried to go for a takedown but was stopped, absorbing several body shots. Yikes.

"To the ground, Gabe. You're getting fucked up standing."

This Blair fellow seems to have figured our vegan surfer out, keeping Gabe away with his range and connecting accurately at the end of combos. Andersson shifts his weight and suddenly ... LOGAN IS ROCKED! The American hits the ground-- What the fuck, Gabe can hit? Gabe ends up laying into Logan with strong shots, mainly to take mount. He makes use of an armbar ... Logan Blair knows exactly what's going on and turns into the lock---Gabe Andersson easily adjusts and chokes Blair out with a triangle.

Phew.

Gentle Giant's First Defense

UNO FC - HW - Carl WANG (C) vs. Pancho CAMPUZANO

It's the big fella's first defense and it's up against a top contender with vicious striking and boxing. Look, Carl has never been KO'd before so i'm not too worried but it's a full five rounds. Will Carl be up to it? He did do well in the fight where he won the belt so it's possible. I have some faith.

Wang starts off round one by circling the Mexican, mixing in a good variety of jabs and leg kicks to keep him guessing.Carl barely moves out of the way of a powerful cross, only to fall catching him in guard. From here, it looks like Campuzano is trying to move into half-guard but Carl does a good job getting some strikes in before returning to full guard. This Pancho guy tries to wind up, but instead gets swept over by Carl's immense strength .. Wang has mount. He drops some precise strikes, even if there isn't much power behind it. Campuzano finally bucks Carl off, but ends up giving up his back. Not good for the Mexican. Wang is deceptively quick for a heavyweight and locks in a RNC. It's over.

.... And still! ... UNO FC Heavyweight Champion ... CARL WANG!

I'm getting calls from ABC wanting to sign Wang to a deal, but they have a lot of shows outside of Sweden and Carl doesn't want to be separated from his family for too long. We have to make a tough decision, but Carl is completely comfortable staying in UNO as the HW Champion and defending until someone stops him.

For now, he will prepare for his next bout against another Mexican that wants his spot on the UNO HW throne, Toro Vea.

Back 2 Back

JScrap has been quite generous to us, but it all as to do with the effort and performances of my fighters. 2 title shots. Featherweight and Bantamweight. Charlie Vinter and Gabe Andersson. Gabe slacks the most, but clearly has the talent to submit people with his strength and skill on the ground. Whereas Charlie puts in an insane amount of effort, only to have his body fail him time and time again.

What will happen?

JSCRAP - FW - Championship Vacancy - Charlie VINTER vs. Ed VAUGHN

Charlie still followed the usual routine of teaching local kids karate, training with Kevin and being the corner in the other fighter's bouts. He will definitely be a trainer at our gym whenever he feels like it's time but for now he's preparing for a big challenge.

Charlie connects with a solid punch, which prompts Ed to engage in a clinch. Vinter does a good job keeping busy with a few punches to the ribs. Charlie finally breaks free and crates some distance, i'm here sweating because there's one major issue with my childhood friend, his chin.

Vinter does a good job keeping distance with leg kicks, easily avoiding a jab combination from Vaughn to counter with a front kick to send the American tumbling. Charlie follows up with another kick that ... PUTS HIM TO THE CANVAS! Charlie pounces, but Ed tries to move out of the way--Too late. The fist bounces Ed's head off the ground while his eyes roll back.

JSCRAP - BW - Championship Vacancy - Red ROBINSON vs. Gabe ANDERSSON

Another Championship vacancy in JungleScrap and it's for the BW title. We ended up scheduled against 1-0 undefeated Muay Thai Canadian fighter known as Red Rum Robinson. This would be tough standing, but I feel that Gabe can take this to the ground and make this an actual fight. Our resident Vegan Surfer has 8 fights under his belt and is finally getting used to the cage-- Too bad he barely trained for this fight and was just catching the waves.

Gabe stands and bangs early, a hook dropping Red to the mat. Andersson tries to drop some fists, but missed and simply ends up in his guard. Robinson ends up giving up his back after a struggle, taking some punches to the face for his troubles. I can see that Gabe is trying to soften Robinson u to try a submission, but this Canadian is playing it proper.

"You did controlling him on the ground. Get the takedown and force it there-- But do not. -Do not- let him get mount."

Red takes the fight to Gabe, clinching and driving a knee into the face of Gabe that causes his nose to bleed. Oh no. Gabe tries to get a standing kimura, but ends up being pushed away. Back to striking. Andersson ends up on the wrong side of a punching combination, several more shots getting through the guard of Gabe. A sweeping left hook FLATTENS Gabe Andersson and sends him crashing to the ground. He still knew that Gabe was awake and took the smart approach of staying up.

"Shit. Shit. Gabe, you alright? Can't stand and bang or get into the clinch. He's killing you. Takedown." Me and Charlie spent most of this break trying to fix up his injuries-- This guy has some vicious knees.

An upward elbow immediately ROCKS Gabe, struck by a lead uppercut right after only to be followed through with a right hook. Gabe barely remains standing, before ... Gabe is caught with an eyepoke! Andersson says he's okay bu we'll have to take a look.

It's not good. Gabe's left eye is essentially useless at this point, and his nose was bloodied from that elbow he took that time. "Gameplan is the same, take him down. Listen. Endure."

Andersson has a habit of not listening, and that's what happened. Red Rum Robinson put on a striking CLINIC, absolutely dismantling Gabe with beautiful combinations and well-timed strikes. He clinches at will and Gabe seems powerless, not able to make anything work this round and only getting battered.

I'm tempted to throw in the tile, Gabe barely seems to be functioning or responding-- Well, it's not like he listens much to my advice anyways. "You have to finish him, Gabe. Submit him. That's all you need to do."

This Robinson guy is good. He keeps Gabe on the defensive, and the one time Gabe takes the knee to try and take the fight to the ground? Red Rum Robinson slaps a guillotine, but Gabe escapes just in time. Only to be forced into a clinch, taking brutal knees. Fuck. Robinson drives his foot into Gabe, sweeping through to knock him down. Robinson just unleashes brutal stomps and Gabe lay motionless. It was over.

Not the most ideal situation, but it seems like Charlie is back on the right track with Gabe is still trying to find his way. A bit conflicted, but Andersson is still apart of my gym and I won't give up on him.

Toro Vea was SUPPOSED to be Carl's opponent, but things changed when Swedish kicknoxer Stendahl viciously beat him down-- That is who UNO FC put up against us, with the intention of making a lot of money in Sweden and it would probably work.

Stendahl has only fought TWICE, and can submit opponents or knock them out. He's a finisher and will threaten Wang with his powerful kicks--Carl has never been finished before and I don't want it to start now. Regardless of what happens, a Swede will be carrying that belt home.

UNO FC - HW - Carl WANG (C) vs. Isak STENDAHL

They start off standing, engaging in a clinch which favors Stendahl who gets some good strikes in. Carl tries to get a Kimura going but is forced off with a shovel punch. Wang does a good job checking Isak's leg kick, just as we had practiced in training. Wang evades the powerful axe kick, but still takes some damage from the leg kicks Isak uses to maintain distance.

"You need to shoot in, Carl man. Check a kick and take his ass down to the ground. Grind it out."

Isak is getting the best of Carl in the striking department, no doubt about that. Wang goes in for the takedown-- A scramble ensues and they are both on their feet. Carl cuts the cage and limits Stendahl's movement but has his assault blocked, nearly eating a chopping leg kick. Carl tries to clinch--Met with an uppercut to the jaw! However, the close distance was all Carl needed to punch Isak and send him to the mat! He pounces into side control, but the round ends. Shit.

"You were doing good near the end of that round, nice work closing the distance. Keep up the pressure, Champ'."

Wang starts the round off with a flurry of punches, forcing a clinch before striking with a short elbow. Wang slips in double underhooks and takes Isak to the ground--Beautiful work. They end up struggling on the ground, but the bell sounds. It's too close to call at this point, but there's a chance that Isak might be up.

"Sweet work, Carl. Use your weight and strength to your advantage and take CONTROL!"

Carl connects with a punch-- Look, I know Carl has essentially 0 knock out power but it does help with the points. Anyways, they end up in the clinch but Isak gets some good strikes in before Wang executes a greco-roman takedown from the clinch. Wang forces the action by taking the halfguard but that's it.

"We have one round left, and i'd say the fight has been just about even. Take control. Be the champion you are meant to be. in this and you win the fight."

Carl does that EARLY, forcing Isak to take the clinch or eat another punch. Wang does get the underhooks to unleash unanswered knees to his midsection. Carl overpowers Isak and trips him to the mat, utilizing some ground and pound to take cracks at Isak's face. Round over.

I'm here crossing my fingers, what will it be? I thought Carl won at least 3 of those rounds, especially the last one clearly but you never know with these judges.

After 5 rounds, it goes the distances ... The winner by a decision and ...

Click to reveal..
Still the UNO FC Heavyweight Champion! Carl ... WANG!

Phew. 2nd title defense is a success.
