Hard Times

Gabe lost, Danielsson is broken right now from losing twice in a row and Kevin hasn't been improving as much as we'd like. There is Hansen but he's mostly a brute with little to no brains. Charlie Vinter has to defend his belt again, and we have a difficult decision to make here. Bradley Hampton, who lost 3 fights in a row within the ABC organization to drop back down, or 1-0 MMA fighter Ben Price. We went with price since there were no real stand outs in the division just yet, and it wouldn't be fair to let someone who dropped down to get a title shot right away.

Carl Wang also finally gets a title shot, after ABC and Shin No's camp selects Carl for the upcoming defense.

JSCRAP - FW - Charlie VINTER (C) vs. Ben PRICE

Charlie might not have the greatest record, and he may get finished a lot but since becoming Champ? Charlie fucking Vinter has looked much more comfortable--The Sambo style just didn't suit him. Wrestling wasn't working, but this new striking karate style has has learned naturally as a young kid is a fine base. Don't know about Price too much, other than the fact he's a wrestler that is quite strong and looked good in his debut bout.

Price was surprisingly winning the stand up at the start, and then presses Charlie to the cage. Not good looks as he manages the takedown. That round wasn't too active but its' expected from a wrestler.

It went like that through most of the fight actually, Charlie could not establish his rhythm. Vinter did impress me with how he was tested through out this fight-- Specifically his chin and submission defense. This Price guy wanted this fight badly and continued to bring Charlie to the mat where his striking would be neutralized.

Charlie got outclassed. Plain and simple. His takedown defense proved to be worse than previous fights and he just didn't use any combinations properly. Disappointing, but I knew that he was aware of that as the final round comes up.

Vinter absolutely DOMINATES Ben Price in the 5th and final round, dropping him to the ground twice with his striking. Taking him to the ground and unleashing strikes, while also unleashing blows in the clinch. Vinter also showed strength on the ground and nearly pulled through with some submissions but it was not to be-- He tried his hardest to put Price away in the final round but it was too late.

Ben Price wins by Unanimous Decision

Price won rounds 1,2,3,4 but was mauled and destroyed in the final round. He toughed it out and is the NEW champion of the Jscrap FW division.
