PREL - HW - Carl WANG vs. Marcos ARAULLO

A high level kick boxer in Marcos will provide a solid challenge for Carl, who will be looking to rebound after having relinquished his Preliator belt a while back due to injury. Carl has had a bit of a struggle as of late in terms of sparring, mainly because he is homesick and misses spending time with his family.

Araullo lands a solid kick to the front leg of Carl. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Carl Wang drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Marcos Araullo sets a guillotine choke but Carl Wang slips out at the last moment. Carl Wang is now caught in guard. Marcos Araullo attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Marcos Araullo pushes away from Carl and lands a strong chopping kick to the lead leg. Wang throws a few jabs at Marcos that miss the mark. A trip to the ground allows Carl to move into the guard of Marcos Araullo. Round 1 comes to a close.

"I liked the trip at the end, but you can't afford to strike with him. Marcos is landing clean kicks and is trying to slow you down. Drag him to the mat."

Araullo throws a few jabs at Wang that miss the mark. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "Gentle Giant" drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Marcos Araullo sets a guillotine choke but "Gentle Giant" slips out at the last moment. "Gentle Giant" is now caught in guard. Araullo attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. "Gentle Giant" snaps back the head of Marcos with a stiff jab. Marcos connects with a teep to the face of Carl Wang. A shot catches Marcos off balance and off guard. Carl spears him but can only manage to make it to guard.Round 2 comes to a close.

"Not a great start, Marco was clearly prepared and keeps setting up the guillotine but don't give in. You have to finish and the only way you do that is if you go to the ground."

Marcos Araullo hits an uppercut to the head of Wang followed by a hard hook. Carl Wang is staggered by a jab to the chin. Carl takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Marcos Araullo lands a solid kick to the inside thigh of Carl Wang. Marcos connects with a hard punch and dives in mounting Carl Wang. The bell signals the end of round 3.

Marcos Araullo wins by Unanimous Decision

Expected. Not a great showing from the distracted Carl, but Araullo was no slouch. He had a gamepalan and executed perfectly, oountering Carl at every turn. Mad props to him.
