Benavidez was always thought of as a career title gatekeeper, but finally realised his dream of winning the UFC belt. - Stipe Miocic completed the trilogy against Daniel Cormier with a Unanimous Decision victory, to win the series 2-1. There was a great respect between the men after the fight, and Cormier announced his retirement, leaving his gloves in the cage. He unfortunately finished his career on a 3 fight losing streak, but was a dual-title holder, so will go down as one of the greats and likely a UFC Hall of Famer in the future. - Despite Cody Garbrandt wanting a third shot at his main rival, TJ Dillashaw, it again proved to be a bad matchup for him, as again he was stopped. Dillashaw broke a 3 fight losing streak, while pushing Garbrandt into a 2 fight losing streak. - Vicente Luque handed Geoff Neal his first UFC loss, with Neal dropping to 7-1, and probably put himself in line for a No.1 contender fight at Welterweight. The Ultimate Fighter 30: FeatherweightsCoaches: Conor McGregor Tony Ferguson Fighters: AJ McKee (18-0) - The undefeated son of former UFC fighter, Antonio McKee. AJ has amassed an impressive run of wins in his relatively young career, with wins over Pat Curran, Georgi Karakhanyan and Henry Corrales. He is already ranked as the #22 Featherweight in the world. Andre Harrison (22-2-1) - A 35 year old New Yorker with plenty of experience in MMA, he is the most recent PFL Featherweight champion and former ROC and Titan FC Featherweight champion, vacating both belts without losing them. Daniel Straus (27-10) - Straus is a former Bellator Featherweight champion, who has had some amazing battles with Pat Curran (twice) and Bellator Featherweight GOAT, Patricio Freire (four times). He also won the Bellator Season Six Featherweight Tournament. Filip Pejic (16-3-2) - Pejic went 0-1 in his original UFC run and was unfortunate to find himself released, but has bounced back and is currently on a 2 fight win streak in KSW with wins over UFC veterans, Marcin Wrzocek and Diego Nunes. Grant Blackler (9-1) - A veteran of The Ultimate Fighter, Blackler was a member of the Australian team in the 'Smashes: UK vs Australia' season. He unfortunately was eliminated in the first round but has been impressive since. With just one loss to his name, he may be a real surprise package this season. Jason Knight (22-6) - Most recently a bare-knuckle boxer, Knight has fought twice in 2020, going 2-0. He has 4 UFC wins to his name, with wins over Chas Skelly, Alex Caceres, Jim Alers and most impressively, Dan Hooker. Khamzat Dalgiev (11-3) - A late replacement in the tournament and the least known on the roster, not much is expected from Dalgiev, but he has finished 9 of his 11 wins, so has proven to be a solid finisher. Mark Eddiva (8-2) - The current ROAD FC Featherweight champion, beating former UFC fighter, Rocky Lee via Unanimous Decision. Eddiva went 1-3 in his original UFC run, but the Flilipino fighter has huge upside and has really improved his all round game since his release. Michael Tobin (14-2) - Australian Tobin started his MMA career with a 12-0 record, but then dropped a couple of fights to lesser opponents. Fortunately, he has bounced back with a couple of wins, his last being a submission victory to win the AFC Featherweight Title. Ozzy Dugulubgov (10-2) - Dugulubgov went 5 years without fighting, but returned in 2020 with two wins in KoTC. He holds a win over Chris Wade and was due to fight top Lightweight contender, Justin Gaethje in WSOF, but the fight was cancelled. Paddy Pimblett (15-2) - A real character, a lot is expected of Pimblett in the house, both in and out of the cage. He is a former Cage Warriors Featherweight champion, who also fought for the Lightweight title, but came up short against Soren Bak. Sergio Giglio (12-0) - Undefeated Peruvian Giglio is only 23 years old, and started fighting professionally at just 16. He was also undefeated at amateur level. TJ Laramie (11-3) - Another young fighter, at just 22, Laramie started his professional career at just 17 in Japan, as he couldn't get licensed in Canada until he was 18. He holds a win over current UFC fighter, Charles Jourdain. Tyler Diamond (10-2) - Ranked as the top Canadian Featherweight, Diamond was a contestant on season 27 of TUF, but was eliminated and then also suffered a loss on the finale. He beat Jim Alers in his last fight and will hope to impress in his second chance in the house. Will Chope (34-10) - Chope is a whopping 6'4 and will easily be the tallest fighter in the competition. Hes been fighting predominantly in Asia for most of his career, and has pro fights in Boxing, Kickboxing and Bare-Knuckle Boxing outside of MMA. Yusuf Raisov (17-1) - A very good grappler from Russia, Raisov has wins over Andre Winner and Luis Palomino on his record and is a former ACB Featherweight champion. First Round Fights: (I've already got thru the first 8 weeks) Sergio Giglio vs Ozzy Dugulubgov Paddy Pimblett vs Tyler Diamond Andre Harrison vs Filip Pejic Daniel Straus vs Grant Blackler Yusuf Raisov vs Mark Eddiva Will Chope vs AJ McKee Jason Knight vs TJ Laramie Khamzat Dalgiev vs Michael Tobin First Round Fight Results:Sergio Giglio (Team McGregor) defeated Ozzy Dugulubgov (Team Ferguson) via KO Tyler Diamond (Team McGregor) defeated Paddy Pimblett (Team Ferguson) via Unanimous Decision Andre Harrison (Team Ferguson) defeated Filip Pejic (Team McGregor) via Majority Decision Daniel Straus (Team McGregor) defeated Grant Blackler (Team Ferguson) via Unanimous Decision Yusuf Raisov (Team Ferguson) defeated Mark Eddiva (Team McGregor) via Submission AJ McKee (Team McGregor) defeated Will Chope (Team Ferguson) via TKO Jason Knight (Team McGregor) defeated TJ Laramie (Team Ferguson) via Unanimous Decision Khamzat Dalgiev (Team Ferguson) defeated Michael Tobin (Team McGregor) via TKO Quarter Final Fights:AJ McKee (Team McGregor) vs Andre Harrison (Team Ferguson) Khamzat Dalgiev (Team Ferguson) vs Jason Knight (Team McGregor) Daniel Straus (Team McGregor) vs Yusuf Raisov (Team Ferguson) Sergio Giglio (Team McGregor) vs Tyler Diamond (Team McGregor)

Big things are expected of the 6'5 fighter. - Mike Perry was a +260 underdog, and after finishing Naurdiev just over 2 minutes into the first round, stood over his fallen opponent and taunted him. He then called out Tony Martin for his next opponent. - Uriah Hall was also an underdog, at +350, but hit a spectacular highlight reel heel kick to KO Jared Cannonier - Jingliang Li extends his win streak to 5 impressive wins, with this win over Tony Martin adding to his past wins over Mike Perry, Michael Chiesa, Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos and David Zawada. He's now 9-1 in his last 10 UFC fights. - Thiago 'Maretta' Santos called out Ryan Spann as a fighter he'd be interested in fighting, depending on how the LHW tournament goes. - Former Bellator Middleweight champion, Rafael Carvalho moves to 2-0 in the UFC, first beating #13 ranked Elias Theodorou and now #7 ranked Antonio Carlos Junior, both by 1st round stoppage. A top 5 opponent likely awaits Carvalho next. - Justin Gaethje called for a fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov next. - Daniel Spitz pulled off a massive upset, TKOing Deontay Wilder less than halfway thru the first round. He was lined up as a sacrificial lamb for the former Boxing Heavyweight champion. - Dominick Cruz moves to 3-0 since his return from a 4 year hiatus, now beating Jimmie Rivera after previous wins over Cody Garbrandt and Pedro Munhoz, with all 3 wins coming against top 5 ranked opponents. He will face the winner of Joseph Benavidez vs Marlon Moraes next, or step in if theres an injury to either fighter. - Tony Ferguson followed up a 1st round TKO over Donald Cerrone with a destructive 1st round TKO over Dustin Poirier, finishing his opponent in just 46 seconds. - The Prelims were some of the most entertaining prelims ever to air, with just one fight going to a decision, with that fight being 'decent' level. Rankings Changes:Heavyweight: N/A Light Heavyweight: Thiago 'Maretta' Santos up to #11, Glover Teixeira down to #20 Middleweight: Rafael Carvalho up to #9, Uriah Hall up to #10, Antonio Carlos Junior down to #12, Jared Cannonier down to #16 Welterweight: Rafael dos Anjos up to #6, Jingliang Li up to #13, Santiago Ponzinibbio down to #15, Mike Perry up to #17, Alex Oliveira enters at #18, Neil Magny down to #22 Lightweight: Tony Ferguson up to #2, Justin Gaethje up to #7, Dustin Poirier down to #15, Dan Hooker down to #16 Featherweight: Shane Burgos down to #18 Bantamweight: Jimmie Rivera down to #5

This was Spann's first loss in the UFC. - Andre Soukhamthath and Uros Jurisic both released from the UFC.
