MMArmy - a statistical index October 2020
IntroductionI have taken a course in Excel PowerQuery. This is a possibility to evaluate large amounts of data in Excel independently.
Among other things, the possibility of loading data from the web is provided here. So I could load the fighter record of fighter XYZ into Excel.
(No Chubby, that's not hacking - you fool).
In order to practice the whole thing, I took a look at MMArmy.
Here I pulled out Top100-Camps - as of September 30th - as well as all camps from the alliance roster and afterwards saved the data (fights, wins, losses, titles etc.).
Then I waited one month and did the same again on October 31st. So the difference from this result is the change of the month October.
It will of course be the case that new camps that were created in the current month will not be included in the database.
However, all forum members should be registered with their camps. The whole thing is always considered per camp.
I will now present the results to you.
Top 20 - Most fights in October 2020 In this table you can find the camps with the most fights in October.
As probably always, this list is led by Matty with about 1,545 fights.
He is followed by Judo, who returned from retirement this month. I'm pretty sure he could take Matty's place.
They are followed at some distance by Amp and Black-Santa.
However, we know that this table says nothing about success (Sorry Matty).
Best Win % in October 2020 >100 Fights A little more interesting is the Top 20 by Win % with more than 100 fights.
The list is headed by Neverland. He could win almost 70% of all his fights.
However, towards the end of the month it became more and more apparent that he was either looking for the easy fights or even had feeder camps. He was already banned from the forum. Ingame I think too.
In second or first place is Peasant with the camp "Club Casual" with 66.03% Win%, closely followed by Simon with 65.79%
It is interesting that Judo with far more than 1.000 fights has a value of over 50% Win% (Sorry Matty).
Top 20 - Most EFC Title Wins in October 2020 Since this table is also not so meaningful, since many fights can take place in lower leagues, we direct our attention to the EFC.
In this table you can find the camps with the most EFC title wins in the month of October. This includes all weight classes.
Here Smooth Jesus could secure the first place with 34 titles. Followed by Tyson Ali (BlindPhaedo) with 30 titles.
It is interesting that Smooth Jesus managed to get into the top 20 with three camps. Drink also managed to place two camps in the top 20.
Top 20 - Fights/EFC Title October 2020 Since the EFC titles are only an absolute number, it is difficult to determine if the camp was really the most efficient now.
Camps with many fighters logically win more titles than camps with less active fighters.
Therefore I have compared the number of fights of the camp in the respective month with the number of won EFC titles of the camp (Fights/EFC Titles).
So this means how many fights did it take a camp to win an EFC title.
This ratio now also shows that the high Win% (66%) of Peasant (Club Casual) is not reflected in the title wins.
Some might argue that he only fights for his statistics and not for titles and therefore his record is useless.
Although Smooth Jesus won a total of 34 titles with his camp of the same name, he needed about 16 fights per title.
On second place is Tyson Ali (BlindPhaedo) with 11.37 fights per title win.
In the month of October would be on rank 1 Simon with his Ryngwell MMA Camp. According to the ratio he won a title every 10.86 fights.
If you now look at the Win%, number of EFC titles won and the ratio Fights/EFC titles, I would say that Simon was the most successful and efficient coach/camp in October.
SummaryI hope you enjoyed this statistical excursion and that you could take some interesting information with you.
If you have any suggestions or points you would like to share with me, feel free to do so.
Otherwise: Fuck this old forum.
