Every lockdown, every mandate has done more harm than good. The masks also prevented the general populace from creating herd immunity against a coronavirus like has been done the past few decades.

These are legit research institutions, not news. That's the sticking point I have with a lot of theories around the virus and vaccines... it's just so big. I know trite hates the term conspiracy theory, but the theory that vaccines are not effective is that...a theory that there is a conspiracy that is large enough to mass fake scientific data, knowing that this data will be checked and verified again by the entire world for the rest of human history. For the virus or the vaccines to be fake the conspiracy would have to be big enough that it defies logic. So many countries and orgs involved, I can't see them agreeing with anything without overwhelming evidence, which the covid strategy followed by first world countries appears to have.



If you believe masks do not help...what is the harm in using them? If you are wrong, you save lives. If you are right you are inconvenienced for 10 minutes at the grocery store.

I can read it through quote. Gist was I quoted some opp ed articles and there are studies on influenza which show no benefit from face masks. However, digging through the articles to the sources does show reason to believe face masks help. if you believe there is a global pandemic, is it not better to be safe than sorry?

Ecological studies support countries with near universal mask useage such as Japan are less affected by those that are not.
