Jordan Peterson is hilarious and regularly destroys people in debates with actual logic...ohh...how goes the smallpox?

Got to confess...I'm pretty well unfamiliar with Jordan Peterson. I mean I've heard of him but never seen so much as a real vid or tweet by him that I can recall. Know he has some very popular vids with the facebook set and people on the right love him but that's about it.

Maybe one day I'll check it out to make my own judgments, but still on a break here, sick wife and a teenager leaves no time for political stuff. So it goes, hope all of you are doing well.

I like a bit of what Peterson says because he's into personal liberty. But he goes down semantic rabbitholes from time to time which lead to pointless discussions that don't really go anywhere. He just uses a lot of complicated sounding language.

The points being made a quite simple but he labours them so much; some people think he's playing 4D chess but he's not.

He also has some quite sucky opinions and post some totally misleading BS.

So hes basically an American Russell brand? Makes good points, makes bad points, but relies heavily on big words to make himself seem more intelligent? Ive never looked into the guy tbh

Sort of. He's a clinical psychiatrist and a professor at some Canadian university. So he does know his stuff about certain schools of psychiatry, of which he relates just about everything to.

Obviously Brand went to theatre school.

However I don't know how much time you guys have spent with professors; but in my experience whilst they know a lot about certain things, they know f-all about others and can be quite weird. Peterson has plenty of that going on.

Yeh ive known a professor and numerous scientists and they know so much about their field, but are literally clueless about others and in particular, common sense lol, like the smartest guys ive ever known but thick as shit in some areas, areas that are basic for any human XD
