safety and efficacy of vaccines in general? or specifically, the rushed covid vaccines? in my mind there is a big difference. for myself, i weighed everything and felt that the pros of the covid vaccine outweighed the potential cons. that decision was based on MANY factors (age, job related exposures, close relatives in high risk categories, prior success with vaccines to name a few). however, i also realize that others will come to a different decision based on some or all of the same factors, or maybe more than i used and i'm perfectly ok with that, but just for this vaccine. the standard other vaccines that have stood the test of time? i'm ok with those being mandatory for school.

as far as "the CDC said (masks) would help to slow the spread, help to save lives." revisionist history. the CDC, as well as fauci, flip flopped their guidance on masks. in the beginning, we were told that the "science" said that covid particles were orders of magnitude smaller than standard surgical masks could capture. then the "science" said that covid particles attached to vapor droplets and that the masks could help with catching those. as such, we were told that masks weren't to protect you, but others. then the vaccine comes and it took roughly 5 months from the time vaccines were available until just recently when we've been told you don't need to wear one if you're vaccinated, but then we've also been told that you can still contract and spread covid if you're vaccinated (so why can vaxxed people now not wear them????). the contradictions and flip flops on masks (all based on the "science") are more than i can take. if you can't see that the mask issue is far beyond "the science" then you've got your head in the sand (either willingly or unwittingly).
