Round 1
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Akihiko Morishita receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Rober. A strong elbow forces Morishita to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Rober attempts to drop a fist on Morishita, but misses and lands in his guard. "Chinaco" pulls out of the guard of Akihiko, stands up, feels it out, and drops a huge right hand to the jaw of Akihiko. Rober Mendez tries to pass guard but Akihiko stops him with a well timed punch. Akihiko shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Morishita starts to create some distance with his legs, Rober Mendez capitalizes by passing to side control. Round 1 is over.

Round 2
The fighters circle each other. Rober Mendez circles Akihiko Morishita, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Mendez takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Akihiko Morishita circles Rober, mixing jabs with body shots. Akihiko Morishita is staggered by a jab to the chin. Akihiko takes a punch and goes to the mat, Rober Mendez pounces into side control. Akihiko recovers quickly. Round 2 is finished.

Round 3

Akihiko peppers "Chinaco" with several shots to the face. Mendez slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. "Chinaco" circles Akihiko Morishita, mixing jabs with body shots. Akihiko Morishita shoots a takedown from a distance putting Rober Mendez on the ground. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
