And from reading your post the only game change you want is "my fighters need to be better".

Other coaches can get fighters to 4*, so obviously the game allows it, you just have fighters who are bad trainers/learners.

And I have no idea where this "need 4* to compete at EFC level" comes from.

While, as you can see, he finally hit 4* Sambo, that was literally about two resets before he retired. He'd won the EFC title and been competative at the top level back with 3.5* in Sambo and Strength. I "wasted" a good two dozen or so resets to get his Sambo to 4*.

Instead of focusing almost entirely on on Sambo/Strength, how about build their other supporting stats or develop a switch to beat those who can out-PL you?

Of course I can build complementary stats but it's insane. I think it may be a japanese thing and coded as such. Maybe those guys are not built like americans or something. It's been a year - not like I dont know how to spar or build fighters. It's not that I can't win belts at 3.5, but it's the point.

By the way - you have 4 stars in SAMBO on the guy you mention. I'm maxed at 3.5 in any area - wrestling, sambo, strength and jj.

It's not long ago that I hadn't had a fighter break 3*. I've only got to 3.5* within the past month or so and 3.75* within about 2 weeks. Some fighters simply don't train as well at top levels.

but i have guys that come in with 2-2.5 that do, WW came with 2.5 JJ and he was at 4 by his 10yr. imagine where i could have him at a full 15

itchy bald eagle and the rest had far longer careers that got stuck at 4 or 3.75. its really how well your fighter learns. i force mostof my guys to hit 4 by constantly training one style, i only do that with guys that come in with very good 2ndary stats that i dnt need to spend my time on.

i know awhile back i posted how i trained my guys, tonight or tom am i get to recruit for both camps, ill keep logs of it on how i train them based on equipment as i have a new russian camp that i opened, so ill show how i train guys with 5mill/500k equip and guys i train using poor/good equip.
that way it will be easier for me to show people how i train.

Your guy's power isn't that great. I don't really consider it an upset.

You didn't "match up styles" well at all.

Your fighter's power-locks in at best average with one of the key stats (strength) being below 2*. His fighter had decent GnP stats with pretty much all the standard primary and secondary skills at over 2*.

PL/GnP is a fairly even matchup (I couldn't honestly tell you at this point who has the advantage) where it generally comes down to who has the better built fighter. He did. You lost. Your fighter had also previously lost to a GnP fighter with similar stats (again by submission) as well as beaten GnP fighters. The fight could have gone either way, and it went against you.

Your fighter has a pretty poor PL build, which explains his limited success, not the "Randomness" of the game. You picked a bad fight for your guy and didn't luck out.

I would once again repeat the MMArmy Mantra:

"If at first you don't suceed, the game must be broken".

BTW, about the "1* JJ submissions"

Butterbean has 6 submission wins. BJ Penn has 5. Who has the better JJ skills?
Mark Coleman has 8 submission wins. Werdum has 5. Who has the better JJ skills?

Submissions (especially gaining them) do not begin and end with JJ.

That Turner guy AIDSed my fighters. Both my guys were Glory champs then they fought your guy and retired shortly after before they could win EFC.
