Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Francis receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Jermain. Everett executes a an impressive greco-roman takedown from the clinch, putting him in guard. "DaDa 2500" attempts an ambar from the guard. Francis defends it but is switched to mount. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Everett Francis snaps back the head of Jermain Townsend with a stiff jab. Everett Francis narrowly dodges a cross from Jermain Townsend, but falls catching him in his guard. Everett Francis begins to posture on his side. Jermain lands a couple of outside hooks and Everett Francis returns to the guard. Everett attempts to lock in an armbar from the guard. Jermain narrowly avoids it, but allows for Everett to take mount. Jermain attempts to buck Everett off from mount but Everett keeps his base and maintains position. Jermain Townsend fights his leg through and gets back to half guard. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Jermain catches a leg kick and fires a hard punch to the head dropping Everett Francis. Jermain Townsend drops a huge strike to Everetts chin, landing into his guard. Townsend attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Everett Francis slips out of it at the last moment. Townsend attempts to pass Everetts guard, and does so, but receives multiple strikes in the attempt. Townsend punishes Everett Francis with a series of strikes from the mount. Everett Francis gets pummeled by the fists of Jermain Townsend. Everett Francis gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Townsend lays into Everett with some strong shots forcing Everett to give up mount position. Francis gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Round 3 is finished.
Round 4 Everett Francis hits an uppercut to the head of Townsend followed by a hard hook. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Everett Francis is hit with two hard punches to his face. Everett Francis laughs off the punches. Jermain Townsend tries to hyperextend the knee of Everett Francis with a kick to the kneecap. Everett Francis hops back to avoid it. "DaDa 2500" lands a double jab. Round 4 is over.
Round 5 Everett connects with a hard punch and dives in mounting Jermain Townsend. While in dominant mount position Everett Francis rains down hard shots forcing Jermain Townsend to cover up. Referee yells to defend but Everett Francis lands more shots to get the stoppage.
