Round 1 Tadashi Akimoto hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. A sloppy scooping ankle block is pulled of by Akimoto. Leon is able to pull him into his guard. Tadashi Akimoto attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Leon slips out of it at the last moment. Akimoto frees a leg and moves into half guard. Tadashi Akimoto tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Leon holds the head of Tadashi Akimoto close to avoid shots. Tadashi Akimoto slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Tadashi slams his knee into Sergios ribs. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Tadashi narrowly dodges a cross from Sergio, but falls catching him in his guard. Akimoto gets his arm underneath the neck of "Checho" while putting his opposite arm on the back of the head. Akimoto applies pressure forcing "Checho" to tumble over giving Akimoto mount. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "Checho" places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Tadashi Akimoto takes the back of Sergio who works for a kimura. Tadashi Akimoto pulls his arm out of the hold and push Sergio away. Sergio Leon connects with a strong right hook. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Tadashi hits an uppercut to the head of Leon followed by a hard hook. Akimoto is caught square on the jaw putting him to the canvas, "Checho" prepares to pounce, but Akimoto gets his bearings just in time. "Checho" chucks Tadashis legs to a side to attempt a soccer kick but misses and he elects to sprawl into side control. The bell signals the end of round 3.
Round 4 The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. A single-leg attempt is well defended by Sergio. Akimoto stands up, lifting the leg of Sergio and executing a trip takedown. Tadashi Akimoto distracts Sergio Leon with some peppering shots. Tadashi Akimoto then isolates a leg and falls back into a achilles lock. Sergio Leon is able to force his way out of it but gives up half guard in the ensuing scramble. "Checho" goes to Z guard and shoots his head under the arm of Akimoto and attacks the leg for a knee bar. Akimoto spins out of the hold letting both fighters get to their feet. Tadashi hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Akimoto presses forward and is able to jump up and grab onto "Checho", aggressively pulling guard. Tadashi attempts to lock an omoplata, but Sergio Leon is able to muscle his way back to the guard. Tadashi Akimoto locks a triangle but Sergio defends well. Tadashi Akimoto decides to let go of the hold. Akimoto places both feet on the hips of "Checho" and pushes him up in the air. Akimoto flips him over right in to an armbar. "Checho" taps out.
