Round 1 Remedios Gutierrez narrowly dodges a cross from Red Lynch, but falls catching him in his guard. Remedios Gutierrez is cut under his eye by a hard overhand from Red while utilizing the guard. Remedios Gutierrez backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Remedios is staggered by a jab to the chin. Remedios Gutierrez takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. An outside leg trip puts Red into side control. Red lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Round 2 Red Lynch plows through Remedios Gutierrez with a driving double leg takedown. Gutierrez is caught in a can opener and opens his guard. He lands two quick strikes but Red transitions to half guard. Red is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Red punishes Remedios Gutierrez with a series of strikes from the mount. Remedios gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Red Lynch peppers Gutierrez with several shots to the face. Giving up his back, Remedios panics and gives up mount instead. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 A welt begins to form under Remedioss eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Lynch. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Gutierrez attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Red pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Gutierrez throws a push kick. Red shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Gutierrezs nose.

Remedios is pummeled by some well timed bombs from Red Lynch. Gutierrez attempts a few a shots from the guard, but gets mounted for his troubles. Red Lynch secures his position. Gutierrez gets pummeled by the fists of Lynch. Gutierrez gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Giving up his back, Gutierrez panics and gives up mount instead. Red maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Round 5 comes to a close.
