Garret drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Garret Colon pushes down Donato Veras leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Garret Colon slams his knee into "GCs" ribs. Round 2 Garret eats a stiff kick to the face. Garret Colon connects with a series of punches forcing Donato Vera into a clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Vera lands some solid knees to the legs of Colon from the clinch. Donato attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Garret pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Donato eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Garret Colon. A jab from Colon is blocked and a cross is returned by "GC". Vera connects with a strong right hook. Colon throws a kick to the midsection that is caught by Vera. Vera lands a sweeping leg kick that puts Colon on his back. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Vera throws a cross that easily dodged by Garret Colon. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Garret drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. "GC" sets a guillotine choke but Garret slips out at the last moment. Garret is now caught in guard. Garret takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in "GCs" guard. It doesn't pay off as Vera makes his way to standing. Garret narrowly dodges a cross from Donato Vera, but falls catching him in his guard. Garret Colon begins to work the rubber guard. "GC" drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Donato eats a stiff punch to the face, and is then swithced, giving Garret full mount.Round 3 comes to a close.
