Round 1 A wild hook from Cortez is ducked by Cian Kelly who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Cian Kelly connects with a hard punch making Kevin bring him in to a tight clinch. Cian Kelly takes the back of Kevin Cortez who works for a kimura. Cian Kelly pulls his arm out of the hold and push Kevin Cortez away. Kevin connects with a strong body shot combo. Cian Kelly connects with a series of punches forcing Cortez into a clinch. Cortez attempts to grab the plum but "Wutang" takes the opportunity to attain double underhooks and take down Cortez. Cian Kelly pulls out of the guard of Kevin, stands up, feels it out, and drops a huge right hand to the jaw of Kevin. Cortez gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Cian slips out of half guard and into side control. "Wutang" lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Kelly wraps the arm of Kevin Cortez behind his back and traps it. Kelly pounds away with shots to the face. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Cian weaves through a jab-cross combo but is met with a strong knee. Kevin Cortez is staggered by a jab to the chin. Cian winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. "Wutang" dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Kevin lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. "Wutang" catches a kick from Kevin Cortez and drops down for a leg lock. Kevin Cortez attempts to spin out of it but the lock is still tight. "Wutang" moves to a heel hook. Kevin Cortez fights through the attempt and moves to side control.Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Cian Kelly weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty hook. Cortez connects with a hard punch making "Wutang" bring him in to a tight clinch. Kevin Cortez grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow that cuts Cian under the eye. Kevin gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. While tied up, Kevin is met with a hard uppercut. Kelly fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Kevin Cortez. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. "Wutang" dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Kevin standing over him. Cian thrusts his leg into Kevin Cortezs knee while grounded. Kevin stands over Kelly, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Kelly is able to grab an arm and pull Kevin into his guard. Round 3 is over.
