Round 1 Cru fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Rip Bennett. Cru Bryant throws a short elbow at Rip Bennett. Cru Bryant uses his under and overhook to hit a solid body toss takedown, landing in full guard. Cru Bryant knocks the wind out of Bennett with a strong elbow strike to the abdomen. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Rip Bennett circles Cru Bryant, mixing jabs and leg kicks. The fighters circle each other. Rip Bennett ducks and weaves through a quick combo from Bryant and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Cru Bryant hits an uppercut to the head of Rip Bennett followed by a hard hook. Bennett catches a leg kick and fires a hard punch to the head dropping Bryant. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Cru Bryant throws a push kick. Rip shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Cru Bryants nose.
Bennett narrowly dodges a cross from Bryant, but falls catching him in his guard. Cru attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Bennett slips out of it at the last moment. An heel strike attempt is dodged by Bryant and he traps Bennetts extended leg to move to half guard. Bryant attempts to sink a neck crank from half guard. It does not appear to be tight enough as Bennett gives a thumbs up to the referee until he finally struggles out. Cru Bryant slams his knee into Rips ribs. Cru tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. The bell signals the end of round 3.
