Round 1 Masuno moves in to press the action, but Ian Jackson lands a heavy back kick. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Masayoshi drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Ian Jackson sets a guillotine choke but Masayoshi slips out at the last moment. Masayoshi is now caught in guard. Ian attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. "The Menace" throws a powerful left hook, but is met with a strong jab from Ian. Ian Jackson lands a solid kick to the front leg of "The Menace". Masayoshi throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Ian puts Masayoshi on the mat giving his back up. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 The fighters circle each other. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Masayoshi drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. "Mean Machine" sets a guillotine choke but Masayoshi slips out at the last moment. Masayoshi is now caught in guard. Ian backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Ian chips away at Masuno with a series of kicks to the legs. Masuno throws a powerful left hook, but is met with a strong jab from "Mean Machine". Ian lands a left hook, only to follow up with a strong kick to the ribs. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 "The Menace" takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Ian lands some solid knees to the legs of Masuno from the clinch. Ian Jackson escapes the clinch and creates some distance. "Mean Machine" lands a left hook, only to follow up with a strong kick to the ribs. After dodging a jab, "Mean Machine" lands a kick to the ribs of Masayoshi who winces in pain. "Mean Machine" lands a solid kick to the front leg of Masayoshi. Ian keeps "The Menace" at a distance with some well timed jabs. Round 3 is finished.
