Sam Danielsson

The first guy to walk into my gym! I don't know if he's going to be a winner or straight trash, but I promised myself i'd give him a fair shake. He's great in a lot of disciplines truthfully, but not wrestling--- Yet.

He had been learning Sambo most of his life, sprinkled in with some Judo and Greco Roman. He has a solid foundation in those while maintaining dexterous footwork and killer speed for take down attempts. He's been hitting all the marks but his biggest issue is that sometimes he would rather be chasing skirts than hitting pads.

I contacted UNO FC and landed the kid his first contract, but what style should he be using? Even i'm clueless!

Gabe Andersson

This man's a complete handful! He wants to become an MMA fighter but all he does is hit the beach and surf. He often sneaks off while I ain't looking, but it ain't hard to find the bastard. The beach. Always the beach.

Trying to show him the ropes in wrestling, but let me tell you ... His Judo is crazy good. His reflexes are cat-like and he has some good strength to his frame. His conditioning is god awful though-- If only he would stop frolicking on the beach!

Got him a 3 fight deal with Jungle Scrap-- Hope he fixes his attitude before someone kicks the shit out of him.

Charlie Vinter

Charlie fucking Vinter. My childhood friend and the guy I often trained with during the summer while I was still in college. It's been a long ass time but he wants to try his hand at MMA. Tough as nails and his work ethic is something to be straight admired.

His wrestling isn't great, but he has a black belt in Karate and runs a local school for kids. Heart of gold but sometimes I get worried since i'm now his coach and trainer. What if he gets hurt?

Finally managed to get a deal with LFC, though it took some bargaining. Fucking promoters.

Kevin Ljung

Kid will be special, book it! 'Least I do. Dude's shredded and takes good care of himself. Truly a student of the game and is willing to learn so i've been giving him some pointers. He has a Sambo background just like Sam, but i'm convinced he can become a solid wrestler. He's real shifty so it may be in his best interest to pursue something else.

Haven't gotten him signed since I feel he needs some more training.

Carl Wang

A fucking giant. Over 270 pounds and this guy is bigger than even me! His wrestling has come along great, but the man's a bit timid and awkward. Freakish conditioning and he's got great brains and deceptive reflexes. Heck he's quicker than everyone else while being twice their size.

Signed him to UNO FC,think it will be a great place for him to start off. He has some issues mentally but if he can overcome those? Watch out.

Disappointment

We had a great fight for Sam Danielsson lined up at FLYWEIGHT, kid worked like a madman trying to get down to the suitable weight. He doesn't have a lot of muscle mass but he has some grit when he can put his mind to it. Joe Airipe was supposed to be our first notch, but .. That dumbass couldn't make weight so were without a fight.

Jo Araripe was unable to make 125 for his fight against Sam Danielsson.

UNO FC - Bear Foster vs. Carl Wang

Our big friendly giant got his first crack at MMA, with me and Charlie being the corners for this fight. A decent crowd as there were still a lot of fans of the UNO FC brand but we were focused on winning. Carl? He was a nervous wreck before the fight and had the jitters.

Carl started off great! Got some good strikes in and defended the clinch well, until .. Well Bear kind of started to crack the big ol' man. The Gentle Giant got dropped to the ground in round one, but luckily he was still able to defend the attacks of Foster.

Round two was a little better, but not quite great. He got BOPPED instantly and Foster followed through to the ground and that's where it stayed throughout the round. Hate to say it but Carl didn't do all too well so Charlie started yelling at him after round two-- Wang looked like he was about to cry! He needs to finish Bear right now!

Double leg takedown right off the bat by our boy Wang. It was absolutely beautiful, just the stuff we were teaching here at Gustaffson Wrestling. He had complete control! Carl Wang is massive. Like he's not shredded but he weighs a tonne. Foster was actually struggling to get out and kept eating strikes from the outside. Carl let him up for some reason though, he seemed shaken by something and the bell rang!

Can't say I didn't expect a split decision victory for him after the knockdowns he got on Carl, but I think this is great progress even though we took our first loss. Carl showed some good flashes in that third round that we can build upon.

Bear Foster wins by Split Decision

We got a few fight offers for Danielsson but I turned them down since I knew he was still somewhat fresh so I wanted to find a fair opponent. I think he has potential,if only he would stop sleeping around so much and focus on his damned wrestling.

UNO FC - Maxim Andrichuk vs. Sam Danielsson

We finally managed to agree on a solid fight for Sam's debut and it was a great one at that. They're both built similarly so I was a tad bit worried, but Sam had a good 15 pounds or so on him. It's me and Charlie in the corner again, we promised to hook him up with a complete babe if he won so he seemed extra motivated.

They started off by trading blows, and man that Ukranian seemed to hold his own as they ended up in some clinch before Danielsson got the upper hand and started to blast him with knees. I like that Sammy boy was taking matters into his own hands and pushing the pace, eventually getting Maxim to the ground. It wasn't a great showing on the ground though, they switched back and forth when it came to control of striking but I feel Sam took a few too many.

Charlie Vinter is hype as always and made clear to tell Sam to keep up the aggressive style and that he did. He sweet trip to the ground before Sam postures up and lays into Maxim! Punch after punch! I could hear the thuds from right here! The ref stops the abuse as the Ukranian is flat out senseless! Danielsson rushes off and climbs the cage to sit down and wave, winking at some female fans. Damned bastard.

Sam was a complete pervert, but I still had some tears in my eyes seeing his fist getting raised. It was a great moment to share and I hope we get a lot more wins like this.

Damn, forgot. Now me and Charlie have to get him a girl.

Sam Danielsson wins by TKO (Ref Stoppage)

Vegan Troubles

Me and Charlie were looking through some fight offers for Gabe Andersson, and there seemed to be some fresh Hong Kong guy that send an offer through JScrap. The problem is that Gabe keeps skipping training for the beach! Man brings his surf board to the gym everyday and then bounces when I ain't even looking. He only does enough t maintain his beach bod and randomly meditates whenever he wants. I don't even fucking know what he's doing anymore!

That's not even the biggest issue.

This dumb ass walked up to us and said he's going to become a vegan because he had a dream about accidentally eating his fucking dog. I wanted to beat the fuck out of him, but the dude had his fight nearing and I do care for my fighters in some form. This just means a lot more leg work for Charlie and I felt bad for Vinter. Charlie had to teach kids karate part time, train Kevin and NOW specifically shop for vegan friendly ingredients for Gabe-- Dude has yet to get his first fight and is stuck with this mess.

It's not impossible to be vegan and in shape, but it's definitely not efficient in comparison to what he could be doing. I just get a little worried that he is going to get a whooping in hs fight. Hope it isn't the case.

What the fuck Gabe!

UNO FC - Joaquim Salazar vs. Carl Wang

It didn't take long but we arranged another fight under UNO's banner for Carl. He took his last fight pretty harshly, I could tell he had been crying but I was relentless in preparing him for the next bout. He only lost in a split decision so I knew he could still do better and that it wasn't all hopeless. How'd it go?

It didn't look good at the start-- Errh, for Salazar I guess. Carl caught him in the eye accidentally. Well, I knew it was on accident because this man wouldn't truly want to hurt a soul and that's his problem sometimes. Charlie told him to straighten the fuck up and they continued.

He fell down pretty easily, Carl that is ... But he was moving deceptively quick on the ground. Heck, even I was surprised! Exactly the shit I had been teaching him at the gym. Joaquim slips himself away from the initial armbar, but Carl's frame was too heavy! A beautiful armbar executed by our Gentle Giant and the Portuguese bastard tapped liked there was no tomorrow.

Great job buddy!

Carl "Gentle Giant" Wang wins by Submission (Armbar)

Handed Carl a tub of icecream for his efforts and let him go celebrate with his family for the night. The Hong Kong guy couldn't cut enough weight for the scheduled fight so Gabe ended up getting delayed but we did managed to find a fight. He didn't train all too hard again which was disappointing, that surfing and beach frolicking was starting to get on our nerves!

Jungle Scrap - Gabe Andersson vs. Vinnie Hamilton

Had to put him up against an experienced fighter in Hamilton who is sporting a 3-8 record but was known for his Taekwondo from the tape we gathered. Our plan was simple, have Gabe use his superior strength to drag the fight to the ground and smother him. I didn't know how Gabe's new vegan diet would hold up here but I left it up to Charlie when it came to monitoring that bullshit.

We told Gabe not to clinch and guess what he does when the bell rings? In case you haven't figured it out ... He clinched! Andersson was getting blasted with piston shots before taking an elbow to the face. I could hear the crack from here! This Hamilton guy was a bit stiff but he followed through and started to drop bombs from on top after Gave evaded the initial onslaught. I wanted to close my eyes at this point, but I knew this fuckhead needed a lesson and this might have been it. This Vinnie guy slips and Gabe just slides around and locks in a RNC-- Hamilton quit instantly. What did I just witness???

It's great that Gabe Andersson won but .. He's just going to go skip training and ride the waves instead more than before! How did Vinnie let this animal loving vegan fuck get away with that sloppy start? I can't believe it.

Gabe Andersson wins by Submission (Rear Naked Choke)
1-0
