Round 1
Ward lands multiple inside leg kicks that have Lane circling away. "Pipe Bomb" connects with a hard punch making Michel bring him in to a tight clinch. Michel Lane drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Dave Ward sets a guillotine choke but Michel Lane slips out at the last moment. Michel Lane is now caught in guard. Ward attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Michel Lane attempts a striking combination, but Dave Ward forces the clinch. Dave grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow that puts "The Gunslinger" on the floor. Ward chucks Michel Lanes legs to a side to attempt a soccer kick but misses and he elects to sprawl into side control. The bell signals the end of round 1.

Round 2
After dodging a jab-cross, Lane lands a kick to the liver of Dave Ward who steps back and begins to take a knee. Lane rushes forward to capitalize but Dave Ward stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. Michel Lane connects with a series of punches forcing "Pipe Bomb" into a clinch. Michel works "Pipe Bomb" into the cage from the clinch. Michel presses his head under Wards chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Lane throws a short elbow at Ward. Lane grabs the plum and lands several knees to the legs "Pipe Bomb". Michel throws a hard leg kick but is checked by Ward. Dave Ward connects with a strong right hook. A trip to the ground allows Dave Ward to move into the guard of Michel. Round 2 is over.

Round 3
Dave is cut open by a standing elbow strike. The ref stops the fight. The doctor take a look at the cut and determines Dave can continue. Michel connects with a series of punches forcing Ward into a clinch. "Pipe Bomb" drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Michel sets a guillotine choke but "Pipe Bomb" slips out at the last moment. "Pipe Bomb" is now caught in guard. Michel Lane backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. "The Gunslinger" fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Dave Ward. Michel Lane grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow that puts Ward on the floor. Michel Lane throws a short kick to the downed Dave. Dave takes the chance to rise back to his feet. Round 3 is finished.

Round 4
Michel turns slightly and fires an upward elbow rocking Dave Ward. "The Gunslinger" is cut open by a standing elbow strike. The ref stops the fight. The doctor take a look at the cut and determines "The Gunslinger" can continue. Lane grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow to the head of Ward. Michel Lane unleashes a flurry of punches on Dave Ward. Dave hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Michel. Round 4 is finished.

Round 5
Michel circles "Pipe Bomb", mixing jabs and leg kicks. Lane locks in a tight muay thai clinch and lands several knees to the ribs of Ward. "The Gunslinger" grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow that puts "Pipe Bomb" on the floor. "The Gunslinger" lays into "Pipe Bombs" thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Dave Ward does so. "Pipe Bomb" attempts a jab but is countered by a hard left leg kick to the knee and is instantly followed by a picture perfect right hand from Michel Lane that knocks him to the ground. Michel pounces on "Pipe Bomb", but is met with a powerful upkick. Michel manages to land into side control though. Dave gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. The bell signals the end of round 5.
