Round 1 Cheng dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. "Let Me Bang" shoots in on Darryon who sprawls well and lands multiple outside strikes. "Let Me Bang" gives up on the shot and rolls to his guard. Cheng attempts an armbar from the bottom, but Darryon slips out at the last moment. Darryon Brooks eats a stiff punch to the face, and is then switched, giving Kang full mount. Darryon pulls Cheng Kang close to avoid a flurry of strikes. Cheng maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Darryon circles Kang, landing jabs at will. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Kang drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Darryon sets a guillotine choke but Kang slips out at the last moment. Kang is now caught in guard. Darryon attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Cheng Kang is dizzied on his feet from a furious punching sequence from Brooks. Darryon connects with numerous jabs to the face of Cheng. "Let Me Bang" throws a hard jab but Darryon throws a cross right over the top that knocks "Let Me Bang" to the ground. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 A welt begins to form under Brookss eye after a strong cross-hook landed from "Let Me Bang". Kang narrowly dodges a cross from Darryon Brooks, but falls catching him in his guard. Brooks frees a leg and moves into half guard. Darryon presses his foot onto the thigh of Cheng to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 Cheng connects with a series of punches forcing Darryon into a clinch. Darryon Brooks receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Cheng. Cheng Kang decides to abandon the clinch by pulling guard and bringing Brooks with him. Kang is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Darryon pulls out of the guard of "Let Me Bang", stands up, feels it out, and drops a huge right hand to the jaw of "Let Me Bang". Cheng Kang attempts a kimura from the bottom. Brooks blocks the attempt and smothers Cheng Kang who transitions to an armbar attempt. Brooks is able to defend this as well and works back into guard. Cheng Kang tries to slide out of guard, but a scramble ensues. Brooks ends up mounted by Cheng Kang. The round comes to an end.
Round 5 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Darryon lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Kang recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. Darryon Brooks feints and follows up with a hard cross. Kang stalks forward paws away with a couple jabs missing the mark. Darryon Brooks circles Cheng Kang, keeping him at bay with quick strikes. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. The bell signals the end of round 5.
