The fighters circle each other. Jesse eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Thomas. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Jesse escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Barry Thomas catches a leg kick from Jesse Simmons, and puts him on the mat. Thomas takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Simmonss guard. It doesn't pay off as Jesse Simmons makes his way to standing. Barry narrowly dodges a cross from Jesse Simmons, but falls catching him in his guard. Barry Thomas sets in an omaplata, forcing Simmons to roll through, giving Barry Thomas side control. Barry Thomas lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Barry switches his posture a bit, and sets in an arm triangle choke. Simmons turns purple then taps out.
