Round 1 Sam wraps around Barry Thomass waist, and drags him to his back, taking side control Cherry slides his knee across the body of Thomas and takes full mount. Sam maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Barry Thomas gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Cherry locks in a body triangle as he takes shots at Barry Thomas. Cherry peppers Barry with several shots to the face. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 The fighters circle each other. Barry eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Cherry. Sam keeps Thomas at a distance with some well timed jabs. The fighters circle each other. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 A sloppy scooping ankle block is pulled of by Sam Cherry. Thomas is able to pull him into his guard. Barry goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Cherry slips out at the last second. Cherry takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Barry Thomass guard. It doesn't pay off as Barry Thomas makes his way to standing. Thomas throws a cross that easily dodged by Cherry. Barry eats a few stiff shots from Cherry, and rolls giving mount to stop the ref from ending the fight. Barry Thomas attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Sam secures his position. Round 5 Sam Cherry eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Thomas. Sam narrowly dodges a cross from Barry, but falls catching him in his guard. Thomas attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Sam slips out of it at the last moment. Thomas presses the action while in the guard, but Cherry is able to switch him into mount. Barry pulls Cherry close to avoid a flurry of strikes. Cherry secures his position. Round 5 comes to a close.
