Round 1 Griffin parries a jab but is caught by a strong leg kick. Cory Griffin connects with a series of punches forcing Bif Coleman into a clinch. Bif attempts to grab the plum but is tripped to the floor by "The Tripod" who lands in his guard. Cory takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Colemans guard. It doesn't pay off as Bif Coleman makes his way to standing. "The Tripod" narrowly dodges a cross from Bif, but falls catching him in his guard. Bif Coleman drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Griffin lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Cory connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 "The Tripod" moves in to press the action, but Coleman lands a heavy back kick. Bif gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Bif carefully protects himself from Griffins strikes. Coleman slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Bif Coleman keeps "The Tripod" at a distance with some well timed jabs. Bif Coleman eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Cory. After dodging a jab-cross, Bif Coleman lands a kick to the liver of Griffin who steps back and begins to take a knee. Bif Coleman rushes forward to capitalize but Griffin stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Cory connects with a series of punches forcing Coleman into a clinch. Cory Griffin works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Griffin attempts to pull guard, but slips, putting him on the ground, and with Bif standing over him. Coleman attempts to drop a fist on "The Tripod", but misses and lands in his guard. "The Tripod" shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. "The Tripod" begins to work the rubber guard. "The Tripod" goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Bif Coleman slips out at the last second. Bif loses his position, allowing Griffin to slip behind and lock in a rear naked choke. Bif quickly taps out.
