Round 1 The fighters circle each other. Santiago Filho stuffs a shot from Palangpol Arom and hits him with an outside body shot. Palangpol Arom gives up on the takedown and pulls guard. Arom begins to posture on his side. Santiago Filho lands a couple of outside hooks and Arom returns to the guard. A kimura attempt is defended well by Santiago Filho and he is able to sneak his leg through "mamma saids" loose guard, to half guard. Santiago slams his knee into Palangpols ribs. Santiago attempts to sink a neck crank from half guard. It does not appear to be tight enough as Arom gives a thumbs up to the referee until he finally struggles out. Santiago Filho presses his foot onto the thigh of Palangpol to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Filho connects with a hard punch making Arom bring him in to a tight clinch. Filho works to Palangpols back while standing. Filho throws a couple of outside shots until Palangpol is able to work his way back to the clinch. Arom takes Santiagos back standing, but Santiago isolates an arm and locks a spinning kimura but Arom squirms out and both fighters end up standing. Santiago lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a strong uppercut. A welt begins to form under Aroms eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Filho. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Arom connects with a jab cross combination. Palangpol Arom eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Santiago. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Palangpol is hit with two hard punches to his face. Palangpol laughs off the punches. Arom connects with a strong body shot combo. Santiago executes a single leg giving him the back of "mamma said". Santiago peppers "mamma said" with several shots to the face. Palangpol starts to wiggle out of back control, Filho lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Santiago Filho hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Palangpol Arom throws a hard jab but Santiago Filho throws a cross right over the top that knocks Palangpol Arom to the ground. Round 3 is finished.
