Round 1 Cali Cruz snaps back the head of Lex with a stiff jab. Lex throws a cross that easily dodged by Cruz. Edwards throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Cruz puts Edwards on the mat giving his back up. Cali Cruz lands a series of heavy punches forcing Lex to roll to his back, giving Cali Cruz mount. Lex Edwards attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Cruz splits Lex Edwardss nose open with a well timed punch. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Cali Cruz takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Cali throws a cross that easily dodged by Lex. Cruz attempts a lazy shot, which Lex sprawls, eventually taking Cruz back. Cali carefully protects himself from Lexs strikes. Cali starts to wiggle out of back control, Edwards lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Edwards circles Cali Cruz, landing jabs at will. Lex Edwards fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Cali Cruz to a corner. Cali Cruz swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Cali Cruz narrowly dodges a cross from Edwards, but falls catching him in his guard. Cali gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Lex is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Cali Cruz attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Cruz gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Lex Edwards peppers Cali with several shots to the face. Cruz carefully protects himself from Lex Edwardss strikes. The bell signals the end of round 3.
