Round 1 Ward dodges a series of strikes from Akira and counters with a body shot and cross. Ward then backs up and wags a finger at Akira. "Stary Night" tries to hyperextend the knee of Buzz with a kick to the kneecap. Buzz hops back to avoid it. Buzz feints and follows up with a hard cross. "Stary Night" stalks forward paws away with a couple jabs missing the mark. Buzz hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Buzz feints and follows up with a hard cross. Shiomiya stalks forward paws away with a couple jabs missing the mark. Buzz connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. Both fighters begin to exchange Buzz catches Akira Shiomiya with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Akira Shiomiya gather himself. Akira Shiomiya says he is ok and the fight continues. Shiomiya parries a jab but leaves himself open for a hard cross. Akira Shiomiya hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Buzz blocks a cross, liver shot combo but is pushed backward. Shiomiya tries to press the action but is met with a jab, cross, uppercut that puts him to on the floor. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 "Stary Night" parries "The Wardens" jab and connect with a cross. Akira shoots a takedown from a distance putting Buzz Ward on the ground. Ward lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Akira defends a triangle attempt, throwing Buzz Wards straight leg over his head and makes a move for side control. Buzz is able to hold him to half guard. "The Warden" holds the head of Akira Shiomiya close to avoid shots. Akira Shiomiya slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Akira attempts to sink a neck crank from half guard. It does not appear to be tight enough as "The Warden" gives a thumbs up to the referee until he finally struggles out. Akira Shiomiya presses his foot onto the thigh of Buzz Ward to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Both fighters begin to exchange "Stary Night" catches Buzz with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Buzz gather himself. Buzz says he is ok and the fight continues. Shiomiya dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Ward connects with a strong body shot combo. The fighters circle each other. Buzz Ward throws a cross that easily dodged by Akira Shiomiya. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 Akira connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Buzz Ward. Shiomiya narrowly dodges a cross from "The Warden", but falls catching him in his guard. Shiomiya gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. "Stary Night" attempt to sit up and push into his opponent but Buzz has a strong underhook and pushes back. "Stary Night" uses the momentum to sweep Buzz into side control. Shiomiya lands a few stiff elbows from side control. The bell signals the end of round 5.
