Round 1 Collins connects with a strong body shot combo. The fighters circle each other. "smug piece of shit" attempts a lazy shot, which Tomas Ramirez sprawls, eventually taking "smug piece of shit" back. "smug piece of shit" carefully protects himself from Tomass strikes. Cody Collins starts to wiggle out of back control, Tomas lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Collins winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Cody blocks a tight hook from Ramirez and counters with a shovel punch and cross that has Ramirez stumbling backwards. Cody stalks him across the canvas. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 "smug piece of shit" connects with a hard punch making Tomas bring him in to a tight clinch. Cody works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Collins takes the back of Tomas Ramirez who works for a kimura. Collins pulls his arm out of the hold and push Tomas Ramirez away. Cody feints and follows up with a hard cross. Ramirez stalks forward paws away with a couple jabs missing the mark. Cody connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. Ramirez throws a powerful left hook, but is met with a strong jab from Collins. "smug piece of shit" connects with a hard punch making Ramirez bring him in to a tight clinch. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Collins shuffles away from Tomass strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Tomas Ramirez backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. Ramirez circles "smug piece of shit", landing jabs and crosses at will. Ramirez executes a single leg giving him the back of Cody. Tomas tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Collins slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Cody Collins hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Collins stuff a shot from Tomas and lands several shots to the body. Tomas attempts to pull guard but Collins pushes his way to half guard. The bell signals the end of round 3.
Round 4 Tomas Ramirez connects with a right that puts Cody Collins off balance tumbling to the mat, as Tomas Ramirez towers over him. Tomas attempts to drop a fist on Cody, but misses and lands in his guard. Ramirez locks a kimura but "smug piece of shit" is too strong and he cannot finish it. He settles for a couple shots to Collinss face. Ramirez drops a few strong punches, opening up Codys guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. Cody Collins shifts his head and hips to keep Tomas off balance and unable to land strikes. "smug piece of shit" gets pummeled by the fists of Tomas. "smug piece of shit" gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Giving up his back, Cody Collins panics and gives up mount instead. Tomas punishes Collins with a series of strikes from the mount. Round 4 is over.
Round 5 Collins throws a hard jab but Tomas Ramirez throws a cross right over the top rocking Collins. Cody Collins winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Both fighters begin to exchange Tomas catches Cody Collins with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Cody Collins gather himself. Cody Collins says he is ok and the fight continues. Tomas plows through Collins with a driving double leg takedown. The round comes to an end.
