Round 1 Arie Daalman lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Clyde Tyler works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Tyler takes Arie Daalmans back standing. Daalman isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Tyler lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Daalman to release. A welt begins to form under Arie Daalmans eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Tyler. Tyler connects with a strong right hook. Clyde Tyler parries Aries jab and lands an uppercut. Tyler connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Arie Daalman narrowly dodges a cross from Tyler, but falls catching him in his guard. Clyde takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Arie Daalmans guard. It doesn't pay off as Arie Daalman makes his way to standing. A wild hook from Daalman is ducked by Clyde who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Clyde Tyler fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Arie. A strong elbow forces Arie to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Clyde Tyler stands over Daalman, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Daalman is able to grab an arm and pull Clyde Tyler into his guard. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Clyde Tyler connects with a hard punch making Daalman bring him in to a tight clinch. Daalman works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Clyde Tyler dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Daalman standing over him. Arie attempts to drop a fist on Clyde, but misses and lands in his guard. Clyde is pummeled by some well timed bombs from Arie. Clyde Tyler grabs the arm of Arie Daalman while in guard and holds tight eating shots to ribs. Clyde Tyler lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Arie Daalman drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. The round comes to an end.
Round 4 Daalman buckles Tyler with a kick. Daalman rushes forward to grab a guillotine, then falls to guard. Tyler is in trouble but is able to muscles his way out of the choke. Tyler defends a triangle attempt, throwing Arie Daalmans straight leg over his head and makes a move for side control. Arie is able to hold him to half guard. Arie Daalman holds the head of Clyde Tyler close to avoid shots. Clyde Tyler slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Daalman hits an upward elbow on Clyde, and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though Clyde takes side control. Tyler attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Arie for his troubles. Clyde attempts an armbar, but Arie Daalman stops the attempt. Clyde uses the oppurtunity to take mount. Round 4 is finished.
Round 5 Clyde Tyler hits an uppercut to the head of Arie Daalman followed by a hard hook. Clyde Tyler lands a lunging, looping hook to Arie Daalmans temple. A jab from Clyde is blocked and a cross is returned by Arie. Daalman is cornered by Clyde who tries to press the action. Daalman is able to block well and circles away from Clyde, delivering a chopping leg kick and a grazing cross as he does so. Clyde lands a hook to the body. Arie lands a solid kick to the inside thigh of Tyler. Daalman hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. A spinning back kick leaves Clyde stumbling back and clutching his side. Tyler throws a few jabs at Arie that miss the mark. Arie Daalman ties up with Clyde Tyler, but then quickly back trips him, putting him to the mat. Arie Daalman pushes position and gains side control. Round 5 comes to a close.
