Round 2 Arthur Lawrence connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. The fighters circle each other. Lawrence executes a single leg giving him the back of Angelo. Lawrence begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Angelo rolls to being mounted instead. Angelo attempts to buck Arthur Lawrence off from mount but Arthur Lawrence keeps his base and maintains position. Arthur Lawrence secures his position. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. A couple of powerful body shots forces Angelo Reyes back to the cage. Lawrence swims to double underhooks. Angelo Reyes cannot stop Lawrence from stepping back and taking him to the floor. Angelo is pummeled by some well timed bombs from Lawrence. An heel strike attempt is dodged by Arthur and he traps Reyess extended leg to move to half guard. Arthur Lawrence tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Lawrence wraps the arm of Angelo Reyes behind his back and traps it. Lawrence pounds away with shots to the face. Angelo Reyes is able to work a leg through from the bottom to attain full guard. The round comes to an end.
Round 4 Arthur Lawrence connects with a right that puts Angelo Reyes off balance tumbling to the mat, as Arthur Lawrence towers over him. Lawrence drops a huge strike to Angelo Reyess chin, landing into his guard. Arthur tries to move to half guard but Reyes uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. Arthur Lawrence takes advantage of a mental laps from Angelo and moves into full mount. Arthur Lawrence splits Angelos nose open with a well timed punch. Lawrence telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Angelo Reyes gives up his back to stop the attempt. Lawrence lands a series of heavy punches forcing Angelo Reyes to roll to his back, giving Lawrence mount. Angelo bucks off Lawrence and both fighters get to their feet. Round 4 is over.
Round 5 Two quick punches opens up Angelo Reyes for a takedown. Lawrence pushes in and executes a forward foot sweep that puts Angelo Reyes on his back. Lawrence falls into side control. Arthur Lawrence lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Angelo gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Reyes starts to wiggle out of back control, Arthur Lawrence lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Lawrence stuff a shot from Angelo and lands several shots to the body. Angelo attempts to pull guard but Lawrence pushes his way to half guard. Arthur is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Angelo gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Angelo starts to wiggle out of back control, Lawrence lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Reyes lands a hook to the body then a straight cross to the sternum. Arthur Lawrence connects with a hard right hand putting Reyes on the mat. Arthur Lawrence goes down with him into side control. Arthur Lawrence moves to north-south position. Angelo begins to roll out from under Arthur Lawrence but Arthur Lawrence is able scramble to Angelos back. The round comes to an end.
