Round 1 Athanas fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Jalal. Cosmas Athanas works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Cosmas takes the back of "Champ" who works for a kimura. Cosmas pulls his arm out of the hold and push "Champ" away. Jalal Curtis hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Jalal connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Cosmas hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Jalal Curtis is met with a hook cross combo that staggers him. Athanas explodes with a flurry of punches. Jalal Curtis is then thrown to the floor. Cosmas Athanas lays into Jalals thighs with some well timed kicks while Curtis is grounded. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "Champ" works Cosmas into the cage from the clinch. "Champ" presses his head under Cosmas Athanass chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Both fighters jockeying in the clinch. Jalal grabs an arm of Athanas turns and dumps him over his body with a Seoi Nage. Jalal keeps the arm and locks in a lightning fast armbar. Athanas struggles out and scrambles back to the feet. Both fighters begin to exchange Athanas catches "Champ" with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets "Champ" gather himself. "Champ" says he is ok and the fight continues. Cosmas Athanas lands a double jab. Jalal hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. "Champ" is sent crashing to the mat by a powerful right hook. Cosmas drops a powerful fist onto "Champ". Jalals eyes roll back into his head, and this fight is over.
