Round 1 Nick is hit with a jab then a hook to the body and stumbles backward. "Bringing the Thunder" tries to press the action but is met with a push kick from Nick that puts him on the floor. Thornton lays into Trentinis thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Jose Trentini does so. "Bringing the Thunder" is sent crashing to the mat by a powerful right hook. Thornton grabs a foot and kicks at Jose Trentinis thighs. He then backs off and Jose stands back up. Nick locks in a tight muay thai clinch and lands several knees to the ribs of Trentini. Nick grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow that cuts Jose under the eye. Trentini attempts a knee but is taken down by a basic trip. Thornton lands in half guard. Nick Thornton tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Nick drops an elbow onto the forehead of Jose. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Nick Thornton locks in a tight muay thai clinch and lands several knees to the ribs of "Bringing the Thunder". Nick gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. "The Belieber" breaks away from the clinch while delivering a knee. "Bringing the Thunder" eats a stiff kick to the face. Thornton connects with a jab cross combination. Nick Thornton connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. "Bringing the Thunder" begins a combination but Thornton ducks down, picking Joses leg. Thornton lifts Joses leg as high as he can and throws a sweeping leg kick. Thornton cannot find an opening to pounce. The ref brings Jose Trentini back to his feet. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Thornton snaps back the head of Jose Trentini with a stiff jab. "Bringing the Thunder" fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with "The Belieber". "The Belieber" connects with a stiff knee to the chin. Jose Trentini is dazed on the mat. Thornton kicks at the legs of Jose Trentini and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Jose Trentini to stand. "Bringing the Thunder" grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow to the head of Nick Thornton. Jose Trentini attempts a striking combination, but Nick Thornton forces the clinch. A stiff elbow looks to have Trentini dazed. Nick is hit by successive knees on either side of his ribcage. Round 3 is finished.
Round 4 A welt begins to form under Nick Thorntons eye after a strong cross-hook landed from "Bringing the Thunder". Jose presses forward, grabbing the plum and lands a strong hook, buckling Thornton to the mat. Jose stands back and waves Thornton up. Jose throws a cross that easily dodged by "The Belieber". Thornton lands a solid kick to the front leg of Jose. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Nick Thornton connects with a series of punches forcing Jose Trentini into a clinch. Round 4 comes to a close.
Round 5 Jose Trentini lands a solid kick to the front leg of Nick Thornton. Nick turns slightly and fires an upward elbow rocking Jose Trentini. Jose connects with jab cross combination. A wild hook from Trentini is ducked by Thornton who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Jose Trentini connects with a right that puts Nick Thornton off balance tumbling to the mat, as Jose Trentini towers over him. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
