Round 1
Both fighters begin to exchange "Mystic Mac" catches Bruce with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Bruce gather himself. Bruce says he is ok and the fight continues. MacAteer narrowly dodges a cross from Bruce Wellen, but falls catching him in his guard. MacAteer connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Wellen attempts to drop bombs while caught in the guard, but Dylan MacAteer takes the chance to switch Wellen over to mount him. Dylan secures his position. Dylan is pulled in tight, and then switched over on his back. Wellen is now caught in Dylans guard. Round 1 is over.

Round 2
Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Wellen narrowly dodges a cross from MacAteer, but falls catching him in his guard. Wellen lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Bruce Wellen works for a triangle but Dylan MacAteer throws Bruce Wellens straight leg over his head and makes it to half guard. "Mystic Mac" tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Dylan wraps the arm of Bruce Wellen behind his back and traps it. Dylan pounds away with shots to the face. "Mystic Mac" slams his knee into Bruces ribs. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 3
"Mystic Mac" connects with a series of punches forcing Bruce Wellen into a clinch. MacAteer works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Dylan escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Dylan MacAteer throws a few jabs at Bruce Wellen that miss the mark. The fighters circle each other. Bruce takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. "Mystic Mac" attempts a takedown, but Bruce clumsily falls down without much provocation. Dylan stands over Wellen, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Wellen cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. Round 3 comes to a close.

Round 4
Wellen connects with numerous jabs to the face of Dylan MacAteer. MacAteer connects with a hard punch making Wellen bring him in to a tight clinch. While tied up, Dylan MacAteer is met with a hard uppercut. Dylan hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. "Mystic Mac" connects with a series of punches forcing Bruce Wellen into a clinch. Bruce Wellen attempts to grab the plum but "Mystic Mac" takes the opportunity to attain double underhooks and take down Bruce Wellen. Bruce Wellen shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. MacAteer frees a leg and moves into half guard. MacAteer presses his foot onto the thigh of Bruce Wellen to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Dylan MacAteer throws his knee into the ribs of Bruce. Bruce almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. Round 4 comes to a close.

Round 5
Dylan connects with a series of punches forcing Bruce Wellen into a clinch. Bruce Wellen works Dylan into the cage from the clinch. Bruce Wellen presses his head under Dylan MacAteers chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Bruce takes MacAteers back standing. "Mystic Mac" isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Bruce lands a sharp shovel punch that forces "Mystic Mac" to release. Dylan connects with a right that puts Wellen off balance tumbling to the mat, as Dylan towers over him. Dylan MacAteer drops a huge strike to Bruce Wellens chin, landing into his guard. Bruce attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. A shot catches Wellen off balance and off guard. Dylan MacAteer spears him but can only manage to make it to guard. "Mystic Mac" attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Wellen slips out of it at the last moment. Dylan MacAteer opens up the guard and rises back to his feet. Round 5 is finished.
