Round 1 Mason Scott connects with jab cross combination. Mason throws a cross that easily dodged by Clive. "Canadian Sedation" is staggered by a jab to the chin. "Canadian Sedation" connects with jab cross combination. "Smickhouse" connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Mason Scotts legs are wobbled by a strong hook to the temple then a shovel punch to the jaw. Martel sends "Smickhouse" to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Clive Martel hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "Canadian Sedation" lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Clive Martel attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Mason Scott pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Martel connects with a jab cross combination. Clive is staggered by a jab to the chin. Mason Scott connects with a strong body shot combo. "Smickhouse" takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Round 3 "Smickhouse" plows through Clive Martel with a driving double leg takedown. Clive gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Mason tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Clive hits an upward elbow on Mason, and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though Mason takes side control. Mason lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Mason Scott slides his knee across the body of Clive Martel and takes full mount. The round comes to an end.
Round 4 Mason shoots a takedown from a distance putting Clive Martel on the ground. Scott distracts Clive with some peppering shots. Scott then isolates a leg and falls back into a achilles lock. Clive is able to force his way out of it but gives up half guard in the ensuing scramble. Mason tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Mason presses his foot onto the thigh of Clive Martel to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. "Smickhouse" drops some hammer fists on Clive Martel. Mason Scott lands a few stiff elbows from side control. The round comes to an end.
Round 5 Scott catches a leg kick from Clive Martel, and puts him on the mat. Mason drops a few strong punches, opening up Martels guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. "Canadian Sedation" gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Clive starts to wiggle out of back control, Scott lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Mason shoots a takedown from a distance putting Martel on the ground. Scott distracts Clive with peppering shots. Scott then isolates a leg and sinks a achilles lock. Clive is able to force his way out but gives up mount in the ensuing scramble. Clive gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Mason peppers Martel with several shots to the face. Giving up his back, "Canadian Sedation" panics and gives up mount instead. The bell signals the end of round 5.
