Round 1 Yi throws a hard jab but "Canadian Sedation" throws a cross right over the top rocking Yi. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Kim drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. "Canadian Sedation" sets a guillotine choke but Kim slips out at the last moment. Kim is now caught in guard. Clive backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. "Canadian Sedation" unleashes several furious punches at Kim. Kim Yi connects with a strong body shot combo. Kim Yi winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 "Canadian Sedation" takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Clive sprawls a takedown attempt from Kim Yi. Kim Yi eats several punches on the way back to his feet. Clive Martel pummels Yi with a series of rapid fire fists. Kim connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Yi continually moves away from Clive Martel, who stalks him patiently, occasionally landing a jab or cross. "Canadian Sedation" hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Kim. "Canadian Sedation" circles Kim Yi, mixing jabs with body shots. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Kim connects with a hard punch making Martel bring him in to a tight clinch. Yi places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Clive Martel drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Kim Yi sets a guillotine choke but Clive Martel slips out at the last moment. Clive Martel is now caught in guard. Yi attempts an armbar. Clive Martel time a spin perfectly landing a strong overhand as he works his way into Kims guard. Clive tries to pass guard but Kim stops him with a well timed punch. Kim Yi attempts an armbar from the bottom, but Clive Martel slips out at the last moment. Kim Yi bucks Martel off and scrambles into his guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 4 Kim connects with numerous jabs to the face of Martel. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Kim Yi uses his under and overhook to hit a solid body toss takedown, landing in full guard. Yi sits up in Martels open guard and spins to an leg lock. Martel is able to gator-roll out of it and make it to standing. Kim Yi narrowly dodges a cross from Clive Martel, but falls catching him in his guard. Yi locks a triangle but Clive defends well. Yi continues the attempt but finally decides to let go. Martels face is red from the choke and sits low in the guard to catch his breath. Yi attempts to lock an omoplata, but "Canadian Sedation" is able to muscle his way back to the guard. "Canadian Sedation" presses the action while in the guard, but Kim is able to switch him into mount. The bell signals the end of round 4.
Round 5 Yi connects with numerous jabs to the face of Clive Martel. Clive Martel takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Kim Yi snaps back the head of Martel with a stiff jab. Clive Martel throws a hard leg kick but is checked by Yi. Both fighters begin to exchange Clive catches Kim with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Kim gather himself. Kim says he is ok and the fight continues. Clive connects with a hard punch and dives in mounting Yi. Round 5 is over.
