Round 1
A jab from Relson Pedrosa is blocked and a cross is returned by Righi. Thomas Righi starts to put on the pressure, forcing Relson Pedrosa back into the cage. Thomas Righi takes advantage and clinches. Relson drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Thomas Righi sets a guillotine choke but Relson slips out at the last moment. Relson is now caught in guard. Righi attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Thomas throws an axe kick that misses the target. Righi circles "Scorpion King", landing jabs and crosses at will. Righi slips a cross and lands a kick to the inside leg of Relson. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 2
Righi takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Relson ducks and weaves through a quick combo from Righi and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Relson Pedrosa grabs the plum and pulls Righis face towards a powerful knee which is blocked. Relson Pedrosa lets go of the hold and lands a hook. A shot attempt from Righi is sidestepped by Relson Pedrosa who counters with a hard spear of his own. Relson Pedrosa throws an outside hook that lands flush allowing him to stand up to tower over Righi. Relson cannot find an opening to pounce. The ref brings Thomas back to his feet. Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
Thomas Righi attempts to clinch, but Relson Pedrosa connects with an uppercut to the jaw. Relson clinches with Thomas Righi and lands multiple piston shots and short uppercuts to soften up Thomas Righi for a trip takedown, landing Relson is half guard. Thomas hits an upward elbow on Pedrosa, and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though Pedrosa takes side control. Righi gives his back in an attempt to get out of side control. As Relson Pedrosa spins around to take it, Righi makes his way back to his feet. "Scorpion King" parries Thomas Righis jab and connect with a cross that floors Righi. Pedrosa lays into Righis thighs with some well timed kicks while Thomas Righi is grounded. The bell signals the end of round 3.

Round 4
Righi connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Relson Pedrosa gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Relson Pedrosa carefully protects himself from Righis strikes. Relson starts to wiggle out of back control, Thomas lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Relson Pedrosa is able to press Righi to the cage, forcing a momentary clinch. Righi wriggles out of the clinch and throws looping hooks to back Relson Pedrosa off. Righi ducks and weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty uppercut. Relson Pedrosa narrowly dodges a cross from Righi, but falls catching him in his guard. Round 4 comes to a close.

Round 5
Righi connects with a hard punch making "Scorpion King" bring him in to a tight clinch. Righi works to "Scorpion Kings" back while standing. Righi throws a couple of outside shots until "Scorpion King" is able to work his way back to the clinch. Thomas takes Relson Pedrosas back standing. Pedrosa isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Thomas lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Pedrosa to release. Pedrosa hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Thomas Righi. Relson connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Thomas Righi. Righi hits an uppercut to the head of Relson followed by a hard hook. Relson Pedrosa parries Thomas Righis jab and lands a liver shot that buckles Righi. Righi rolls to his back with Relson Pedrosa standing over him. Relson hovers over Thomas pushing his legs to the side and throwing punches down at his body and head. Thomas sends a hard up kick that rocks Relson. Thomas stands back up. Round 5 is over.
