Round 1 Relson Pedrosa shuffles away from Thomas Righis strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Righi backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. Thomas connects with a series of punches forcing "Scorpion King" into a clinch. Relson works Thomas into the cage from the clinch. Relson presses his head under Thomass chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. An attempt at a clinch takedown from Relson is defended well by Thomas. Relson grabs an overhook, steps to the side to land two haymaker body shots, then an uppercut. Relson returns to the clinch. Relson grabs the plum and pulls Righis face towards a powerful knee which is blocked. Relson lets go of the hold and lands a hook. Relson connects with a series of punches forcing Thomas Righi into a clinch. Relson receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Righi. Righi dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Relson standing over him. A solid kick bruises the leg of Righi. "Scorpion King" kicks at the legs of Thomas Righi and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Thomas Righi to stand. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Thomas Righi connects with a strong right hook. Thomas keeps Relson Pedrosa at a distance with some well timed jabs. Thomas connects with a sweeping kick at the leg of "Scorpion King". Relson throws a hard jab but Righi throws a cross right over the top rocking Relson. Thomas Righi connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. Relson hunts down his opponent and throws 2 heavy haymakers that get nothing but air. Thomas lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Pedrosa. Thomas parries Relson Pedrosas jab and lands an uppercut. A wild hook from Thomas Righi is ducked by Pedrosa who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Relson weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty hook. "Scorpion King" connects with a hard punch making Righi bring him in to a tight clinch.Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 "Scorpion King" counters a jab with a stiff uppercut. Relson ducks and weaves through a quick combo from Thomas and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Relson takes Righis back standing. Thomas isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Relson lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Thomas to release. Relson connects with a right that puts Righi off balance tumbling to the mat, as Relson towers over him. Relson cannot find an opening to pounce. The ref brings Thomas Righi back to his feet. The bell signals the end of round 3.
Round 4 "Scorpion King" connects with a hard jab as Thomas Righi attempts a wide outside hook. After dodging a jab, Righi lands a kick to the ribs of Pedrosa who winces in pain. Thomass legs are wobbled by a strong hook to the temple then a shovel punch to the jaw. Righi pushes away from Relson Pedrosa and lands a strong chopping kick to the lead leg. Thomas Righi fires a haymaker but misses spinning himself around. Relson Pedrosa quickly takes his back. Round 4 is finished.
Round 5 Relson winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Righi lands multiple inside leg kicks that have Pedrosa circling away. Relson attempts to clinch, but Thomas connects with an uppercut to the jaw. "Scorpion King" throws a cross that easily dodged by Thomas Righi. Thomas dodges a jab and lands a kick to the face of "Scorpion King". Pedrosa throws a hard jab but Thomas throws a cross right over the top that knocks Pedrosa to the ground. Round 5 is finished.
