Round 1
Thomas Righi parries a jab but is caught by a strong leg kick. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Pedrosa lands a powerful knee to the face of Thomas Righi. Relson Pedrosa throws a short elbow at Righi. Pedrosa takes Thomas Righis back standing. Thomas isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Pedrosa lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Thomas to release. Righi dodges a jab-cross combo from Relson Pedrosa and connects with a front snap kick, sending Relson Pedrosa stumbling backwards. Thomas Righi dodges a jab and throws a kick to the midsection of Pedrosa. Thomas Righi is hit with a jab and taken down with a strong trip takedown. Relson Pedrosa is able to push to half guard. Round 1 is finished.

Round 2
Righi lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Relson Pedrosa. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Relson connects with a hard punch making Thomas Righi bring him in to a tight clinch. Relson breaks away from the clinch while delivering a knee. A powerful elbow has Thomas Righi stepping back dazed. Relson Pedrosa lands an inside leg kick and a cross, then grabs the plum and tosses Thomas Righi to the ground. Relson Pedrosa stands over Thomas, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Thomas is able to grab an arm and pull Relson Pedrosa into his guard. Righi starts to create some distance with his legs, "Scorpion King" capitalizes by passing to side control. "Scorpion King" throws his knee into the ribs of Thomas Righi. Righi sweeps over Pedrosa and quickly obtains mount position. Round 2 is finished.

Round 3
Thomas attempts to clinch, but Relson connects with an uppercut to the jaw. Thomas Righi buckles Pedrosa with a kick. Thomas Righi rushes forward to grab a guillotine, then falls to guard. Pedrosa is in trouble but is able to muscles his way out of the choke. Thomas dodges some ground strikes from Relson, and sends a few back of his own. Thomas Righi gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Relson Pedrosa slams his knee into Righis ribs. Relson presses his foot onto the thigh of Thomas to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Relson drops some good elbows to the face of Thomas Righi forcing him to give up his back. Thomas starts to wiggle out of back control, Pedrosa lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Relson hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Thomas Righi. Round 3 is over.

Round 4
Thomas Righi unleashes several furious punches at Pedrosa. Relson Pedrosa connects with jab cross combination. Pedrosa is hit with a hook and a shovel punch and stumbles backward. Righi tries to press the action but is met with a push kick from Pedrosa that puts him on the floor. Relson grabs a foot and kicks at Thomass thighs. He then backs off and Righi stands back up. Thomas is hit with a jab then hook to the body and stumbles backward. Relson Pedrosa explodes forward with a push kick that puts Thomas on the canvas. Pedrosa dances around Righis legs and throws a hard kick to the body. Relson grabs a foot and kicks at Thomas Righis thighs. He then backs off and Righi stands back up. Relson circles Righi, landing jabs at will. Relson loses his balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by Thomas for the mistake. Thomas has side control. Round 4 comes to a close.

Round 5
Pedrosa hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Relson lands a solid kick to the front leg of Righi. Righi attempts a striking combination, but Relson Pedrosa forces the clinch. "Scorpion King" takes the back of Righi who works for a kimura. "Scorpion King" pulls his arm out of the hold and push Righi away. Thomas is hit with a hook and a shovel punch and stumbles backward. Relson explodes forward with a push kick that puts Thomas on the canvas. Relson Pedrosa drops a huge strike to Thomass chin, landing into his guard. Two strong elbows from Relson Pedrosa dazes Thomas Righi. Relson Pedrosa transitions into side control. "Scorpion King" lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Righi sweeps over Pedrosa and quickly obtains mount position. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
