Round 1 "La Cobija" works Wilson into the cage, swimming for double underhooks. "La Cobija" presses his head into Bragas chest, forcing him to the ground. A can opener from Cardenas opens up Bragas guard. Cardenas lands two quick strikes as he moves into half guard. Cardenas tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Wilson Braga hits an upward elbow on Ruy Cardenas, and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though Ruy Cardenas takes side control. Braga takes a few knees to the body while under Ruy Cardenass side control. Ruy Cardenas postures up and lands a couple of strong elbows to the head of Wilson Braga. Wilson Braga rolls away from Ruy Cardenas but Ruy Cardenas follows him and takes his back. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Braga tries to hyperextend the knee of Cardenas with a kick to the kneecap. Cardenas hops back to avoid it. Wilson Braga lands a double jab. A welt begins to form under Cardenass eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Braga. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Ruy connects with a jab cross combination. Braga parries Cardenass jab and lands a liver shot that buckles Cardenas. Cardenas rolls to his back with Braga standing over him. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Braga is brought to his back by a well executed takedown from Ruy Cardenas. Ruy Cardenas now has side control. Ruy attempts an armbar, but Wilson stops the attempt. Ruy uses the oppurtunity to take mount. "La Cobija" throws some outside strikes at Wilson. Wilson Braga gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Braga carefully protects himself from Cardenass strikes. Cardenas peppers shot to the head of Wilson looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Wilson is hand playing well. Round 3 is finished.
Round 4 Wilson Braga winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Braga dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Ruy Cardenas hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Braga. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Ruy hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Wilson attempts a takedown but slips, and Cardenas backs away. Cardenas is standing over Wilson. The round comes to an end.

Wilson time a spin perfectly landing a strong overhand as he works his way into Ruys guard. Wilson takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Ruys guard. It doesn't pay off as Cardenas makes his way to standing. Wilson connects with jab cross combination. Wilson Braga circles Ruy Cardenas, landing jabs and crosses at will. Cardenas is caught with a double leg takedown, forcing him to give side control. Cardenas takes a few knees to the body while under Wilson Bragas side control. Braga postures up and lands a couple of strong elbows to the head of "La Cobija". "La Cobija" rolls away from Braga but Braga follows him and takes his back. Round 5 comes to a close.
