Devon pushes away from Luc and lands a strong chopping kick to the lead leg. Luc eats a stiff kick to the face. Devon circles Luc, keeping him at bay with quick strikes. Fay shuffles away from Devons strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Yates backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. Fay throws a hard jab but Devon throws a cross right over the top rocking Fay. Luc continually moves away from Devon, who stalks him patiently, occasionally landing a jab or cross. Fay throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Yates is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Devon snaps back the head of "Piranha" with a stiff jab. Luc throws a hard jab but Devon Yates throws a cross right over the top rocking Luc. Devon Yates parries Fays jab and lands a hook. Devon Yates lands a outside leg kick that causes Luc to back up. Devon Yates sprawls a takedown attempt from Fay. Fay eats several punches on the way back to his feet. Yates lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Fay. Devon throws an axe kick that misses the target. The round comes to an end.
Round 4 Luc Fay snaps back the head of Yates with a stiff jab. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Devon Yates works Luc Fay into the cage from the clinch. Round 5 Yates connects with jab cross combination. Devon pressures his opponent into clinching. Fay drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Devon sets a guillotine choke but Fay slips out at the last moment. Fay is now caught in guard. Devon backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Yates lands multiple inside leg kicks that have Luc circling away. Devon Yates circles Luc Fay, mixing jabs with body shots. "Piranha" hits an uppercut to the head of Devon Yates followed by a hard hook. Round 5 comes to a close.
