Round 1 The fighters circle each other. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "Cub" works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Hong receieves numerous knees to the thighs from "Cub". Artigas takes "Ofs" back standing. Son Hong isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Artigas lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Son Hong to release. A welt begins to form under Elys eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Hong. A wild hook from Hong is ducked by Ely who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. "Cub" connects with jab cross combination. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Son hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. "Of" connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Ely Artigas. Artigas fires a haymaker but misses spinning himself around. "Of" quickly takes his back. Son peppers Artigas with several shots to the face. Ely starts to wiggle out of back control, Hong lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Artigas hits an uppercut to the head of Hong followed by a hard hook. Son plows through Artigas with a driving double leg takedown. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 A lazy leg kick from Ely is caught by "Of" who lands a huge overhand right, flooring Ely. "Of" drops a huge strike to "Cubs" chin, landing into his guard. Son Hong attempts to pass "Cubs" guard, and does so, but receives multiple strikes in the attempt. Ely Artigas gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Artigas carefully protects himself from Son Hongs strikes. Son works his arm around the neck of Ely attempting to get a tight rear naked choke but Ely hand fights well. The bell signals the end of round 3.
Round 4 Both fighters begin to exchange Son catches Ely Artigas with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Ely Artigas gather himself. Ely Artigas says he is ok and the fight continues. A trip to the ground allows Ely Artigas to move into the guard of "Of". Ely pulls out of the guard of Son Hong, stands up, feels it out, and drops a huge right hand to the jaw of Son Hong. Artigas presses the action while in the guard, but Son is able to switch him into mount. Son punishes Ely with a series of strikes from the mount. "Of" jumps out of mount and back to dominant side control. The round comes to an end.
Round 5 A lazy leg kick from Ely Artigas is caught by Hong who lands a huge overhand right, flooring Ely Artigas. "Of" drops a huge strike to "Cubs" chin, landing into his guard. Son Hong distracts Artigas with peppering shots. Son Hong then isolates a leg and sinks a achilles lock. Artigas is able to force his way out but gives up mount in the ensuing scramble. "Cub" gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Son works his arm around the neck of Artigas attempting to get a tight rear naked choke but Artigas hand fights well. With both hooks in and Ely face down Hong peppers him with short shots to the head. Ely turns to defend while kicking a leg out to get to half guard. Round 5 is over.
