Round 1 Oscar hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Russ. Mikkelsen pushes away from Russ and lands a strong chopping kick to the lead leg. Oscar Mikkelsen connects with a right that puts Russ off balance tumbling to the mat, as Oscar Mikkelsen towers over him. Mikkelsen lays into Russs thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Russ Barnes does so. Russ Barnes is met with a cross and a liver shot that staggers him. Mikkelsen explodes with a flurry of punches. Russ Barnes is then thrown to the floor. Russ Barnes thrusts his leg into Oscars knee while grounded. Oscar Mikkelsen lays into Russs thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Barnes does so. Mikkelsen throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Russ is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Russ Barnes is rocked by a standing elbow strike. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Mikkelsen just misses with a head kick, grazing Russ Barness skull. A wild hook from Barnes is ducked by Oscar Mikkelsen who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Mikkelsen attempts a jab but is countered by a hard right leg kick to the knee and is instantly followed by a hard elbow to the chin. Russ Barnes circles Mikkelsen, mixing jabs with body shots. Mikkelsen pushes Barnes into the cage after a double jab connects. Mikkelsen begins throwing a series of jabs, crosses and shovel punches until Barnes is slumped bloodied and unconscious in the corner.
