Round 1 Greg Cook takes Vasilescu down to the mat with a good double leg takedown, leading to him standing over Vasilescu. "Contortrix" stands over "The Pacifist ", works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. "The Pacifist " is able to grab an arm and pull "Contortrix" into his guard. "The Pacifist " shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Greg Cook squeezes his knee through the closed guard of Doru and advances to mount with a knee through pass. Greg maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Doru gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Cook lands a series of heavy punches forcing "The Pacifist " to roll to his back, giving Cook mount. Greg maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Doru hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of "Contortrix". Doru lands a double jab. Vasilescu hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Greg Cook is brought to his back by a well executed takedown from Doru. Doru now has side control. "The Pacifist " lands a few stiff elbows from side control. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "The Pacifist " gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Greg Cook decides to abandon the clinch by pulling guard and bringing Vasilescu with him. Doru knocks the wind out of "Contortrix" with a strong elbow strike to the abdomen. The bell signals the end of round 3.
Round 4 Cook stuffs a shot from "The Pacifist " and hits him with an outside body shot. "The Pacifist " gives up on the takedown and pulls guard. "The Pacifist " shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Cook sits up in Dorus open guard and spins to an leg lock. Vasilescu is able to gator-roll out of it and make it to standing. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. "Contortrix" snaps back the head of "The Pacifist " with a stiff jab. Doru takes a punch and goes to the mat, Cook pounces into side control. Doru recovers quickly. "The Pacifist " takes a few knees to the body while under Cooks side control. "Contortrix" slides his knee across the body of Doru and takes full mount. The bell signals the end of round 4.
Round 5 "Contortrix" connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Greg Cook hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Doru connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. A shot is side stepped by "Contortrix" but quick reflexes and footwork lead to a second attempt that takes down "Contortrix". "The Pacifist " settles into his guard. Doru mixes up a series of head and body shots until "Contortrix" pulls him tight into his guard. Doru attempts to strike with a double-axe handle but "Contortrix" is able to switch him to mount. Round 5 comes to a close.
