Round 1
Trip lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. Molina grabs for a clinch but Marshbanks grazes him with an uppercut. Molina staggers back, then surprises Marshbanks with a powerful superman punch. Marshbanks attempts a takedown but slips, and Mateo Molina backs away. Mateo Molina is standing over Marshbanks. "El Tornado Cubano" hovers over Marshbanks pushing his legs to the side and throwing punches down at his body and head. "El Tornado Cubano" waves for Marshbanks to stand up. "El Tornado Cubano" parries Marshbankss jab and lands a hook that floors Marshbanks. "El Tornado Cubano" stands over Trip, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Round 2
Molina lands a hook to the body then a straight cross to the sternum. "El Tornado Cubano" sends Trip Marshbanks to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Mateo uses strikes to open Trips guard. Mateo stands up and waves Marshbanks up. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Mateo Molina connects with a hard punch making Trip Marshbanks bring him in to a tight clinch. A strong elbow forces Trip Marshbanks to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Round 3
Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Trip connects with a hard punch making "El Tornado Cubano" bring him in to a tight clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Trip Marshbanks works "El Tornado Cubano" into the cage from the clinch. Trip Marshbanks presses his head under Mateos chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Trip Marshbanks takes the back of Mateo Molina who works for a kimura. Round 4
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Trip works Molina into the cage from the clinch. Trip presses his head under Molinas chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Mateo Molina attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Trip Marshbanks pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. The fighters circle each other. Molina winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. "El Tornado Cubano" connects with a hard jab as Marshbanks attempts a wide outside hook. Mateo is caught square on the jaw putting him to the canvas, Trip prepares to pounce, but Mateo gets his bearings just in time. Trip cannot find an opening to pounce. The ref brings Mateo Molina back to his feet.Round 4 comes to a close.

Round 5
Trip is cut open by a standing elbow strike. The ref stops the fight. The doctor take a look at the cut and determines Trip can continue. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Marshbanks attempts a takedown but slips, and Mateo Molina backs away. Mateo Molina is standing over Marshbanks. "El Tornado Cubano" kicks at the legs of Trip Marshbanks and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Trip Marshbanks to stand.
